Harry Potter star Jessie Cave has revealed that she suffered a miscarriage after spending weeks agonising over whether to terminate the unplanned fifth pregnancy.
The 38-year-old, who played Ron Weasley's love interest Lavender Brown in the wizarding film franchise, discovered she was again pregnant with her partner, comedian Alfie Brown over Christmas.
The couple are already parents to sons Donnie, 11, Abraham, five, Becker, three, as well as nine-year-old daughter Margot.
Speaking candidly on their podcast Before We Break Up Again, Jessie disclosed that she had booked an abortion appointment while still wrestling with the decision, only for a scan to reveal the foetus had no heartbeat.
'I fell pregnant, found out on Boxing Day,' she explained. 'This time, no symptoms whatsoever. So it was only because I hadn't had a period that I took a test.
'When it came up [as] pregnant, there was not one a lot of joy or feeling like this was right. There was just something off.'

The actress said the pregnancy felt completely different from her previous experiences: 'With each pregnancy, from the second I was pregnant, I knew,' she explained.
Jessie recalled mixed emotions when she was told she had to have a scan before any potential abortion could proceed because her polycystic ovaries and irregular periods meant she couldn't date the pregnancy.
'I was really excited,' she said. 'I wasn't treating it as an abortion scan. I was treating it as my first early scan.
'She [the practitioner] said, do you want to know if it's twins? And I was like, can I have twins? I was secretly crossing my fingers being like, please be twins.
'Then she says, oh, it's got no heartbeat. I had to pretend like, oh, it's not such a big deal to me. Of course it was a big deal.'
Jessie added: 'She could tell that I was unsure and she must deal with that kind of thing all the time... I did have a huge respect for her... to be told that, well, you've got no choice. You're going to have to have one [an abortion] because it's not viable.'
Despite the shock, Jessie admitted feeling relieved that the choice had been taken out of her hands: 'The fact that the decision was made for us is a gift. A complete blessing,' she said. 'I did feel a deep, deep sadness, but I also feel relief that it hasn't gone ahead because I can now have my boob job.'
The star has previously revealed she had plans for breast augmentation with funds made form her OnlyFans account.

Jessie added that the timing of the pregnancy would have been particularly difficult as both she and Alfie's careers were finally flourishing after years of upheaval.
Alfie was cancelled in 2023 after old footage emerged of him using a racial slur in a comedy routine, losing his agent, manager and tour dates. He released his comedy special The Last Cancelled Comedian on YouTube last December.
Jessie also admitted she was worried about telling her agent. 'I remember her saying after I got pregnant the last time, she was like, "Oh, okay, well" you know the thought of having to tell her after years, now, of promising work I cannot do.
'The idea that I'm now having another baby and my work will again probably be delayed, even though I promise: "No, I can still do it" but I can't.'
The actress also described the painful experience of calling abortion services while still undecided: 'Even during that call, which took forever and it was the most stressful, judgemental call. I can't believe that that is what we still have to go through,'
'She just made me feel like I was evil for contemplating this. By the judgement in her voice and the repetitive questions about, do I understand what I'm doing?'
'Also because I have to admit that I have four kids and I'm not married, there was just so much judgement. I almost felt that she was going to ask me, are they all from the same father?'
The actress also admitted her OnlyFans career - which she launched last March to pay off debts and fund home renovations - had factored into her concerns
She added: 'I don't think it's easy for anyone to have an abortion, but I think it's probably slightly harder for people who've had kids because they know what they're losing.'
The actress also admitted her OnlyFans career - which she launched last March to pay off debts and fund home renovations - had factored into her concerns.
'OnlyFans was a massive reason... I don't really want to do OnlyFans when I'm pregnant. I don't know the ethics of that,' she said.
However while the platform is usually known for its porn content, Jessie's posts focus on her trademark long hair. She has repeatedly underlined that her page will not feature any nudity or sexual content.
'I don't care about anyone else's ethics, I think I would look back on that and I would feel weird that I was doing these kind of provocative hair washing videos with a [baby] bump.'
