Harry Potter fans will all remember Norbert (or Norberta), the adorable dragon that hatches from an egg won by Hagrid in a game of cards during the events of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Unfortunately, the dragon, or Norwegian Ridgeback to be more specific, soon outgrew the confines of Hagrid's hut and was eventually sent to Romania with Charles Weasley, but not before making a big impression on fans of the books and movies alike.
That is why, as part of the ongoing 25 Years of Magic celebration events that are currently taking place in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, players will get to meet Norbert once more.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery was first released back in 2018 as an RPG for both Android and iOS. Featuring some iconic characters such as Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, and Hagrid, the game allows players to attend school, learn spells, play Quidditch, battle other players, or even date them! Thanks to regular updates, the mobile game is still going strong, and now it is about to welcome Norbert's Transport Beyond Special Preview as of 29 July. Featuring both Hagrid and his adorable baby dragon, its creators also reveal that players will now be able to see beyond the confines of Hogwarts.
Back on 1 July, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery began its "Summer of Mystery" event, allowing players to revisit some of their favorite moments from Harry's first year at Hogwarts during Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
"From uncovering secrets that challenge the boundaries between the wizarding and Muggle worlds, to helping a beloved Hogwarts professor prepare for a new school year, and embarking on a thrilling dragon-filled journey…these all-new stories are packed with mystery, discovery, and unforgettable characters," said Jam City, the developers.
However, there is also more to look forward to now that July is coming to an end. Not only can players expect the aforementioned Norbert's Transport Beyond Special Preview arriving today, but Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is also welcoming the '25 Years of Magic' Sweepstakes in order to celebrate Harry Potter's birthday. Taking place between 24 July to 31 July, you may be able to bag yourself some prizes from HarryPotter.com with more information being available in the game.
It may be a mobile game, but Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has proved on multiple occasions that it is here to stay, and if you have exhausted all of the content in Hogwarts Legacy, this may just be the best alternative whilst we wait for the highly anticipated RPG sequel.
