Harry Connick Jr. opened the Super Bowl 2025 on Sunday with a rousing performance of Go to the Mardi Gras by Professor Longhair.
The award-winning singer, 57, made a surprise appearance as he took center stage at Caesars Superdome in his native New Orleans after Lady Gaga's performance.
The Find Me Falling actor joined the band on stage and surprised the attendees in the arena and viewers at home as he began playing the piano.
He performed an exciting rendition of the festive Mardi Gras anthem before the highly-anticipated match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles began.
His rendition of the song followed after Lady Gaga's pre-recorded performance of her Top Gun song Hold My Hand in the city's iconic Bourbon Street.
Her performance honored the victims of the New Year's Day terrorist attack that took place on the famous street as well as the victims of Hurricane Helene and the Los Angeles wildfires.

Before kick off, Jon Batiste performed the national anthem after Ledisi sang Lift Every Voice and Sing.
For the halftime show, Kendrick Lamar and special guest SZA will be hitting the stage.
For his surprise performance, Connick looked dapper in a deep maroon, suede jacket with marching band-inspired stripes across the front.
He layered the chic outerwear over a classic black T-shirt. The multihyphenate talent completed his look with dark trousers and brown suede boots.
This comes after the acclaimed actor opened up about his family life and claimed his three daughters are not 'nepo babies.'
Connick shares Georgia, 28, Kate, 27, and Charlotte, 22, with his wife of over 30 years, former Victoria's Secret model Jill Goodacre, 60.
The couple's daughters have all followed in their footsteps as they pursued careers in the spotlight.
His eldest daughter Georgia is a cinematographer and photographer, who launched her own production company and helped him film one of his music videos.
His middle child Kate is a model, fashion designer and actress who is working on her own clothing line.
His youngest daughter Charlotte started appearing in his movies when she was just a kid.

'For me, it's really like my famiily is first,' he once said in a conversation with Who. 'I've found for my career, for my music or acting or writing, whatever I'm doing... if my family is in order, then everything kind of falls into place.'
He continued: 'It really is the priority for all five of us. We all have our own things and our own friends and our own careers, but it all comes back to this group of five of us and it's just a good feeling.'
But Connick has insisted that his daughters have not had any special treatment and once clapped back at claims that they are 'nepo babies.'
'They're brilliant, driven, really, really smart, creative women,' he has said. 'And our lives have become exponentially greater as a result of the perspective we've gained from them.'
