As the evening kicked-off inside the Beverly Hilton, Golden Globe and Emmy award winner Sharon took to the stage to present the Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV to Hannah.

WIF Honors also celebrated Adria Arjona with the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award, Gemma Chan and Beth de Araújo with the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film for their work on Josephine, and Salma Hayek Pinault with the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award, presented by Fonda herself.

It comes after Hannah revealed she turned down hit TV show Celebrity Traitors because she was 'too scared to be buried alive'.

The actress shared her love for the BBC show, which is fronted by Claudia Winkleman, and revealed she was approached by producers to star on series one of the spin-off celebrity version.

Hannah said she was nearly convinced to sign-up because her Ted Lasso co-star Nick Mohammed was taking part but decided she was 'too scared' and would rather 'watch from home with a nice red wine'.

Speaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the British singer said: 'I was asked to be on the first Celebrity Traitors in the UK but my great buddy Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso was on it and I nearly did it because I knew he was going to be on it.

'But I'm a great big scaredy-cat, this whole thing with the hoods and burying people alive, I don't care if there is a crew there or not, hell no, no, no.

'I will watch it from home with a nice red wine and some crisps'.

In the dramatic BBC final last year, Nick turned on his fellow Faithful, rugby star Joe Marler, at the final roundtable.

Nick doubted Joe after seeing him say 'I'm sorry' upon banishing Cat Burns, allowing Traitor Alan Carr to secure the victory.

Elsewhere during the show, Hannah revealed she was one of many stars who has received Tom Cruise's legendary cake.

Selling for $50 (£38) each, the White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake from Doan's Bakery in Woodland Hills has been dubbed the 'Tom Cruise cake' by many of the stars who have been lucky enough to receive one in the post.

Every festive season, the Top Gun star, 64, gives his friends, fellow Hollywood stars, journalists and executives the highly coveted treats from the California bakery.

This particular Bundt cake was created in 1984 by bakery founder Karen Doan, 79, with chunks of white chocolate, a layer of cream cheese frosting along with toasted coconut flakes on top.

She said: 'I am a three-time offender on that coconut cake, guys. Isn't it just like the greatest sugar high you've ever had in your life?

'And you think at first you open it up and you're like, "Okay, it's like a creamy vanilla cake". Oh my god. It's so good. He's ruined me for all other cakes.'

In the past, gift recipients have included Kirsten Dunst, Henry Cavill, Rosie O'Donnell, Barbara Walters, Cobie Smulders, Jimmy Fallon, James Corden and Angela Bassett.

Elsewhere during the chat, Hannah revealed she nearly accidentally 'stabbed' the future king of England in the foot with a dart.

She said: 'I support Prince William in his Earthshot Prize. The royal household thought it would be a good idea if I perhaps played darts with him and had a cider and chatted through the Earthshot Prize and I accidentally nearly stabbed the future king of England in the foot with a dart.

'I was just in a mess on the floor but we get on very well.'
