Halle Berry opened up about her sex life as she appeared on a new episode of the Sex With Emily podcast.

The 59-year-old Oscar-winning actress – who just confirmed her engagement to Van Hunt – said she refuses to fake an orgasm at this stage in her life.

In the past, she said women had to feign climaxing during intercourse 'so that [men] felt good about bringing us to orgasm.'

She declared, 'We had to say that we did it so that he would feel good about himself. Because what is that doing? That’s putting his needs before our own. And now I don’t do that anymore.'

She elaborated, 'I’m like, "No, I come first [to me] like you come first to you."

'We both deserve to have this be a mutually enjoyable experience, so we both can roll over and go to sleep because we feel good – not one snoring and the other one looking at the ceiling.'

Elsewhere in the 40-minute conversation, the silver screen siren said Hunt, 55, came into her life when she stopped focusing on romance.

'After three divorces, I really thought that I was done,' she shared. 'You get to a point when you've gone through that three or four times... you start to think, well, I guess a relationship like this isn't for me.'

Berry was married to former MLB star David Justice from 1993 to 1997, musician Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005, and French actor Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016.

She shares daughter Nahla, 18 in March, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo, 12, with Martinez.

'I felt like I'd had enough and just wanted to have my career and raise my children and I would be good,' she reflected on her life before Hunt.

'But I realized that the minute you get good and you stop chasing that thing – I realized chasing that thing is what always allowed me to make the wrong choices.

'When I gave up and I said I'm going to prioritize myself, my life, my well-being, my second act... that's when the perfect person showed up.'

The Crime 101 star said: 'I realized it's because I was now whole and complete, and I was putting out something different. And I finally attracted what I was, but I finally was what I wanted to be.'

Berry confirmed her engagement to Hunt earlier this month after months of speculation.

While on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said, 'Well, there's some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no. No, that's not the case. I did not say no. We just don't have a date.'

The mom-of-two added, 'But of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.'

She was set up with Hunt through his brother during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, but they only texted and talked on the phone until their first date four months later.
