Haley Lu Richardson stunned the Berlin Film Festival photocall for dystopian comedy Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die on Friday evening with her impromptu acrobatics.

The White Lotus and Love At First Sight actress attempted a headstand much to the consternation of Sam Rockwell, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, and Asim Chaudhry and Gore Verbinski. Peña and Verbinski then also got into the spirit, joining Richardson in a series of faux martial arts moves and high kicks.

The director and actors are at the Berlinale for the European premiere of Verbinski’s dystopian comedy starring Rockwell as “a man from the future” who enters a L.A. diner on a mission to save the world from the destructive force of AI.

“That was one of the craziest and funniest photocalls, I’ve ever seen in my whole life,” said one German journalist after the group arrived for an equally rambunctious press conference, at which Richardson also offered to do the splits.

The same journalist asked if the mood on set had also been as high energy.

“They were impossible to wrangle,” said Verbinski. “I’ve never had a cast that got along so well. It’s better than having them separated and they don’t come out of the trailer… it was like, ‘hey guys we gotta go’, and they’re talking, joking, singing, it’s crazy.”
