Gypsy-Rose Blanchard took to Instagram on Thursday, urging more than one million followers to show empathy as she mourns her late fiancé Ken Urker.

The Raceland, Louisiana native, 35, posted a quote that read, 'Your gossip could be the darkest time in someone's life. Be kind.'

She added the hashtag #kenanslaw, which is the name of a Change.org petition she has created in memory of Urker– his full first name was Kenan – 'to advocate for meaningful change in how social-media platforms respond to repeated online harassment.'

Urker 'was found dead upon arrival' on October 1 at a home in Raceland, Louisiana, authorities with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office told Us Weekly.

Officials told the outlet they had been contacted at 6.15pm on that day, which marked Urker's 34th birthday.

Urker's official cause of death has not been announced as the probe continues.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Blanchard and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office for further comment on the story.

Anita Blanchard, the sister-in-law of Gypsy-Rose, contacted 911 to conduct a wellness check for Urker, police said, according to the outlet.

She told authorities Urker had missed his work shift and had been in 'a dark place' mentally at the time.

Gypsy-Rose first crossed paths with Urker as he was her pen pal while she was in prison in connection with the death of mother Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard in 2015.

He had initially contacted her after viewing the 2017 documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest, and would subsequently visit her while she was in custody.

Urker and Gypsy-Rose got engaged in October of 2018 before they parted ways the following year.

Gypsy-Rose's next romance was with Ryan Anderson, and the two wed while she was still in custody in July of 2022. After her release from prison in late 2023, Gypsy-Rose and Anderson parted ways the following year.

She ultimately rekindled her romance with Urker in 2024, and the two welcomed their daughter Aurora on December 28, 2024.

Gypsy-Rose called Urker 'an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved'

Following his passing, she called Urker 'an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved' in an October 2 Instagram post.

Gypsy-Rose said of Urker: 'He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.'

She said that 'above all, Ken loved our daughter, Aurora,' calling her 'a beautiful reflection of his enduring spirit,' adding that 'through her, a part of him will always remain with us.'

Gypsy-Rose added: 'I will make sure she grows up knowing how deeply her father loved her and who he was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him.

'He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.'
