The Goop founder gave fans a rare look at her and ex Chris Martin's son Moses Martin during an Instagram Story Q&A while sharing whether the 18-year-old and his sister Apple, 20, had headed off to college for the new school year.
"Not yet," Gwyneth replied in the Aug. 23 video, as she appeared to be walking in her backyard. Her son then popped into frame, joking, "She hasn't quite gotten rid of me."
However, Moses will be off to school soon, as he is set to attend Brown University. And as Gwyneth previously discussed, she's not sure what life will be like with both her children out of the house.
"It'll be interesting to see how the morning routine changes with no kids in the house," the 51-year-old, whose daughter is a student at Vanderbilt University, told The Sunday Times in March, adding that on the one hand she was feeling, "incredible sadness. A deep sense of impending grief."
But on the other hand, she noted that, "this is exactly what should be happening. Your kids are supposed to be, you know, young adults who can achieve and cope and make connections and be resilient. That's exactly what you want. And that means they leave the house."

As the Iron Man star explained, she's found herself so guided and fulfilled by motherhood over the past 20 years, she doesn't quite know how she'll approach the new version of her life.
"I observe a lot of my friends who've had kids who've gone off to college," she said, "Your kid—it changes. And, you know, they come home a lot and all that stuff, but it's not quite the same as living under the same roof all the days of the year. So I'm just trying to be open to what that means."
Still, Gwyneth—who is also stepmom to husband Brad Falchuk's two children—does appreciate how her bond with Moses and Apple has changed as they've gotten older.

"It's amazing as a parent how your relationship continues to evolve," she told E! News in May, "through all of their different chapters."
And she's especially noticed her dynamic with Apple shifting.
"She's an adult woman now, so we relate to each other like that," Gwyneth continued. "Of course, I'm always her mama, and she comes to me for those things too. But it's very interesting to really watch her step into herself as a grown woman."
