The Guild of Music Supervisors said today that it will present its 2026 Icon Award to three-time Grammy winner Raphael Saddiq and its Legacy Award posthumously to longtime American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye.
The pair will be feted during the 16th annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards ceremony on February 28 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles.

“Music plays such an important role in how stories are told on screen, and I have always believed in the power of music to deepen emotion and connect people to the story,” said Saddiq, who has 23 career Grammy nominations along with his three wins. “To be recognized by a community that celebrates the important relationship between music and cinematic story telling means a lot to me.”
Kaye, was VP of the Guild of Music Supervisors and a respected figure in the music supervision community. Starting out in the record company and artist management side of the business, she later worked for Waylon Jennings in Nashville and was VP Artist Development and Broadcast Media at MTM Records. She also worked at MCA-Universal Records until PolyGram Records before starting SyncroniCity, which initially represented labels and artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Kenny Loggins, Lang Lang and Donny Osmond. The company later focused strictly on music supervision for music-intensive shows such as American Idol, to which Kaye contributed for more than 15 years. She and her husband Thomas Deluca were shot to death in July after confronting a burglar in their Encino home.
