GTA 6 Story Length Has Gamers Ready To Commit For A Long Time

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is closer than it has ever been, and it's safe to say that the excitement among players is ramping up with each passing day. A big chunk of that excitement comes from the fact that we really don't know a lot about the game just yet, leaving it ripe for speculation from what may be the biggest community in gaming.

Over on Reddit, one user asked the community exactly how long they think the game's story is going to be, and there are all sorts of opinions floating around about the best course of action on Rockstar's part.

"I'm hoping for 60 hours for the main story alone, with side missions bringing it closer to 100 hours. Given the scope of the project and having, (supposedly), 5 Chapters, unlike RDR 2, which had 6 Main Chapters + Epilogue 1 & 2, something similar to this seems reasonable. I can't wait to have my "Heat" inspired chapter though," one comment read.

"As long as they add fun stuff to do post-story it would be great. I didn’t like that once you finish GTA V there’s nothing to do. Maybe some improvised heists, drug delivery, being part of a gang war, etc," another added.

"I think the main story will be around 60-70 hours, but the side content will be plentiful like with RDR2. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at least 120 hours with the side content and maybe around 175 hours of completion," a third said.

"I would hope between 60-80 hours. If it’s shorter than 60 I would be disappointed. But there will be so much to do outside the main story that it might not be that big of deal if it was," another posited.

One thing that is clear is that it doesn't really matter how long GTA VI runs for, fans are more than willing to set aside the time to experience it from start to finish. Let's just hope that it manages to hit the quality levels that the community is expecting, or things could fall apart very quickly indeed.
