James is a gaming writer from London who has spent thousands of hours exploring titles from every genre. Though he has a particular affinity for multiplayer titles like World of Warcraft, Destiny 2 and League of Legends, he has also put thousands of hours into single-player experiences, from deep RPGs to epic PC strategies. When he's not playing or writing, he can usually be found supporting his beloved Brentford FC.
In another timeline, there's a world where we're all currently sat down, playing through Grand Theft Auto VI's single-player campaign for the fifth time. Unfortunately, we're not in that timeline, and we're still six months away (at the current count) from being able to see exactly what developer Rockstar has been working on.

As first reported by Gamespot, some GTA fans are making their feelings on the lack of communication known by leaving bad Google reviews for Rockstar North. Without any way of verifying who has been and who is acting in bad faith, the reviews system has no problem adding phoney reviews to the existing, genuine feedback on the place.
All of this comes at what will almost certainly be a crucial time in the run-up to the release of the game, with the Take-Two Interactive earnings call set to take place this month. As Rockstar's parent company, similar events were used to broach the subject of a delay last time out, and if we get past this next one unscathed, then we should hopefully be clear to get excited for a November launch.
If that does end up being the case, then we should also get treated to a third trailer relatively soon. If we take Red Dead Redemption 2as a guide, the third trailer for that game came almost exactly six months before it eventually released, meaning if GTA VI were to follow suit, it could come any time between May 19 and the end of the month.
Equally, recent comments from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick have been relatively encouraging as well, and there certainly hasn't been anything to put the cat among the proverbial pigeons.
In any case, all us fans can do for the time being is sit tight and hope for the best from the sidelines. We've still got the old games to go back to anyway, so if GTA VI doesn't end up being everything we wanted to be, then there's always the familiar old embrace of Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton to fall back on.
