GTA 6 Will Have A Ton Of Dialogue
The amount of dialogue in Grand Theft Auto 6 is sure to be astronomically impressive due to how many passersby players will presumably interact with or cross as they roam the open world. Thus, it is incredibly important that a studio like Rockstar nails this, as it obviously prides itself on photorealistic graphical fidelity and mechanical immersion.
As per the leak, a lot of these NPC dialogue lines revolve around their innate behavior, as well as how they will react to the player, depending on various contexts and circumstances.
If this leak is true, and Rockstar actually is going for an extraordinary level of immersion and realism with tens of thousands of lines for NPCs alone, then user Competitive_Pipe_468 might be right in believing that “we won’t be hearing the same dialogue twice.” If every NPC interaction is unique, Grand Theft Auto 6’s open world will be endlessly fun to explore, purely to bump into NPCs and see what nonsense they have to say.
It’s Rockstar’s Biggest Game Yet
In comparison, Red Dead Redemption 2 had a total of over 500,000 lines of dialogue. With so many lines of NPC dialogue recorded in recent sessions, Grand Theft Auto 6 could easily exceed that number by a fair amount.
Of course, this also depends on how long Grand Theft Auto 6’s story campaign is, how big its open world is, and the accuracy of the leak itself. At any rate, we'll find out later this year, as Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026.
