In 2010, she chucked Hollywood glamour for a quieter life in Utah with her musician husband Josh Kelley and kids, though she still works now and then.
Over the weekend, Heigl made a rare appearance at the Wine, Women & Shoes Benefiting Big Dog Ranch Rescue at Mar-a-Lago in Florida with her mother.

Heigl was born in Washington, D.C., then lives in Northern Virginia and then Denver, before her family moved to the town of New Canaan, Connecticut.
When Heigl was nine, her family sent photos of her to a modeling agency and was soon signed with Wilhelmina Models where she landed work in Sears and Lord & Taylor catalogs.
The first time Heigl appeared in a national television ad was for Cheerios cereal.
Heigl made her film debut in That Night (1992) then was in King of the Hill and the 1994 comedy My Father the Hero.
In 1995, she starred in the Steven Seagal-directed action thriller Under Siege 2: Dark Territory.
She landed the lead role in Disney's made-for-television film Wish Upon a Star in 1996.
She then graduated from high school in 1997 and moved to Malibu.
Next came The Tempest and Bride of Chucky.

They were married in 2007, in Park City, Utah. They live with their children in Oakley, Utah.
