Ellen Pompeo cut a casual figure as she was seen on a rare public outing with husband Chris Ivery in LA this week,

The Grey's Anatomy star, 55, enjoyed a hike with Ivery, 56, in Griffith Park amid a break in their hectic schedules.

Pompeo showed off her toned frame in a white graphic print sweater, black leggings and sneakers.

Her tresses were pulled back into an updo and she showed off her radiant skin by going make-up free.

Music producer Ivery wore a black padded vest and shorts with a matching woolen hat.

The pair tied the knot in 2007 and share three children - daughters Stella, 16, and Sienna, nine, and a son Eli, six.

The couple met in Los Angeles in 2003, about two years before she scored the role of Meredith Grey.

After dating for a few years, the pair married in 2007 during a private ceremony.

One of the world's highest paid actors since 2017, Ellen played Dr. Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy from 2005-2024.

According to Forbes in 2020, Ellen made $550,000 per episode. She also received about $6 million per year from her share of syndication profits, which overall translates to about $19 million per year.

Ellen previously made waves as she admitted the financial security Grey's Anatomy has given her has been a major factor for her staying.

Speaking on the Jemele Hill Is Unbothered podcast, she said: 'You know, I made choices to stay on the show.

'For me, personally, a healthy home life was more important than career. I didn't grow up with a particularly happy childhood.

'So the idea that I have this great husband and these three beautiful children [and] a happy home life was really something I needed to complete, to close the hole in my heart.'

While Ellen will reprise her role as Dr. Meredith Grey for a few episodes of the upcoming midseason return of the 21st season of the medical drama, she also has a new show coming out.

The series tells the true story of Kristine and Michael Barrett and their adoptive daughter Natalia Grace.

The couple adopted Natalia from a Ukrainian orphanage in 2010 believing she was a child but they soon came to believe she was much older than she said she was.

Natalia was abandoned by her adoptive parents two years after they adopted her because they believed she was in her 20s, and not a child.

The couple were charged with neglect and abandonment of their daughter Natalia in 2019 and found themselves having to defend the stories they've told about Natalia both in court and in the eyes of the public.

Kristine and Michael were already in the public eye due to her best-selling book The Spark which told the story of raising her science prodigy son Jacob.

Orphan is told from several different viewpoints to express the conflicting stories of the characters at the center of the scandal.

Pompeo executive produces through her production company Calamity Jane. It will premiere on Hulu in 2025.
