2025 Golden Globes: See Selena Gomez Flash Her Engagement Ring to Martin Short (Exclusive)
Selena Gomez couldn’t keep her hands to herself at the 2025 Golden Globes.
The Only Murders in the Building actress turned the 82nd annual award show Jan. 5—hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser—into a magical date night with music producer Benny Blanco Jan. 5, marking their first joint public appearance since announcing their engagement last month.
Selena—who was nominated for both Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture at the event—stunned in a light blue, off-the-shoulder gown while her fiancé looked dapper in an all-white suit. And the double nominee—who was all smiles while cozying up to Benny, 36, throughout the PDA-packed event—took the opportunity to show off her dazzling engagement ring to her Only Murders in the Buildingcostar Martin Short. In an exclusive video obtained by E! News, the 74-year-old grabbed her left hand to better admire her marquise-cut diamond ring as they chatted.
If that weren’t celebration enough, Selena and Benny even got a shoutout during Nikki’s opening monologue.
"Selena Gomez is here—double-nominee tonight for Emilia Pérez and Only Murders. And she's here with her new fiancé Benny Blanco," the comedian said from the stage as the camera panned to the pair laughing. "And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish. Man, lucky guy."
But jokes aside, the Disney alum had much to celebrate and, as she reflected on her recent achievements, made sure to clear up some misconceptions made about her.

"I'm not sure it's more about misconceptions other than the fact that I'm genuinely happy where I am and I feel great," Selena exclusively told Zuri Hall on Live From E!: Golden Globes. "People tend to question every part of my life, but that's okay. I think as long as I know where I am and who I’m around, I'm solemn."
"I think that this was a wonderful stepping stone," she told E!, "to hopefully showing people how much I care, and I'm willing to go there as a performer, and it's so liberating. So I just hope more projects to come."
