Gladiators star Rebel's staggering fortune REVEALED: Olympian Jennifer Stoute, 59, runs a multi-million pound sports business

Gladiator's star Rebel has made a staggering fortune for herself since she appeared on the famed show in 1996 to 1999.

Former English sprinter Jennifer Stoute, 59, represented Britain in international athletics for over a decade. 

She bagged a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 1990 and a bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics for the 4x400m relay. 

After suffering a crippling hamstring injury in 1993, Jennifer made her name as Rebel when she joined Gladiators three years later. 

Rebel excelled in all events, especially Powerball, Pendulum and The Wall, in which she was only beaten once. 

After quitting the show in 1999, the social media star appeared in the Ridley Scott blockbuster movie Gladiator.

Nowadays, Jennifer runs a successful sports management company, Astra Partners, which is said to be worth an incredible £3.8million.

Aside from her business, Jennifer has appeared in a number of beauty adverts with Garnier and Look Fantastic and is also Pro-Ven Probiotic's ambassador.

The sportsperson co-owns the business with her ex husband and world champion John Regis MBE, 58.

Jennifer and John share two successful children, whom have also gone into the world of athletics.

Renee Regis is a 19-year-old British track and field athlete who has competed in a number of championships.

22-year-old Alicia Jazmin Regis has also embarked a career in health and fitness. 

Jennifer is now in a happy relationship with Ian Laughton, who has a construction company.

The athlete returned for Sky One's short-lived revival of Gladiators, which ran from 2008 to 2009. 

The former athlete told The Mirror that appearing on the show was 'one of the best decisions' she's made, noting that it changed her path in life. 

However, Jennifer was left devastated when pal Ulrika Jonsson, who hosted the series, told her that Gladiators was ending on the plane back from Mauritius together. 

Jennifer told the publication: '[Ulrika] said "Jennifer do you know that we haven't got a job?" I said "what do you mean?" 

'She said "my agent's just said that Gladiators has finished". And I was like "what?" It just finished like that without even giving us a warning. There was no kind of like "oh we're not gonna do [a] next series' or anything."

'[So I found out] on a plane back from holiday. I think it might have been the beginning of 2000 or the end of 1999 but it was after we did our last show. And Ulrika [just said on holiday] "oh just to let you know we're unemployed."'

Jennifer is godmother to Ulrika's 16-year-old son Malcolm. 

It comes after it was revealed that Gladiators star Falcon left a huge sum in her will after dying at the age of 59 in March 2023.

The star - whose real name was Bernadette Hunt - passed away after battling cancer for 'a number of years'.

The star appeared on the iconic show from its second series in 1993 and remained an integral part of the programme until it ended.

She left nearly £300,000 to her family in her will, probate documents seen by The Sun have now revealed.

Bernadette left £444,000 in her estate which was reduced to £293,000 once debts and costs were removed.
