Gladiators' Cyclone 'is left furious after becoming the third star to be axed from the lineup - just days after four new additions were revealed'

BBC bosses have reportedly axed a third Gladiator from the show's lineup, just days after four new stars were revealed.

Cyclone, who goes by the real name Lystus Ebosele, joined the second series of the show back in January 2025, but is reportedly 'unhappy' to learn she's been dropped from the show.

Lystus joins Bionic, real name Matty Campbell, and Athena – real name Karenjeet Kaur Bains, who have also been dropped for Gladiators' fourth series, which began filming last weekend.

Sources claim Lystus has now 'cut ties' with the show, including deleting any snaps of herself on the show from her Instagram.

Lystus has also unfollowed the show's production company Hungry Bear, and removed the tag of her Gladiators account @cyclonethegladiator from her bio.

An insider said: 'Cyclone won't be back and she's not happy about it.'

They went on to tell The Sun: 'She's now cut all ties with the show – it's a pity as fans absolutely loved her.'

The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Multitude, who manages PR for Gladiators, for comment.

Earlier this week it was reported that both Bionic and Athena had been dropped from series four, having missed out on the previous series due to injury.

Four new stars have been announced to join the cast, including Olympic gold medal winning skeleton racer Tabby Stoecker.

Fitness influencer and weightlifting champ Florence Wong will be taking on the alter-ego of Huntress, while World's Strongest Man champion Tom Stoltman is also joining the show.

It's also been reported that bosses are lining up rugby star Joe Marler to appear in the new series as a Celebrity Gladiator.

A source told The Sun: 'Everyone is so excited about Joe's surprise stint.'

The sports star is seen as the perfect fit for Gladiators, owing to his athleticism and his larger-than-life personality.

The insider added: 'It goes without saying he's got the size, strength and muscle power to cut it as a Gladiator, but he's also got the cheeky personality to match.

'Viewers of the original series and the BBC's reboot love their Glad to come with a little sass and Joe will easily put on a performance in every sense of the word.'

Back in April, Gladiator Giant, whose real name is Jamie Bigg, previously claimed he was sacked from his position on the show because the Beeb 'didn't approve' of his relationship with OnlyFans star Taylor Ryan.

Following Giant's axe, the cast of Gladiators claimed to want BBC bosses to reinstate him in his role. 

The stars of the family show are said to have banded together and believe Giant should be given a second chance. 

Giant split from Taylor in June, mere weeks after he was removed from the show line-up.

But several Gladiators thought he should be back on screen as they feel he has 'been treated unfairly' and his removal in the first place was an 'overreaction by panicked executives'.

The insider said the stars appreciate it's a family show but don't think Giant has done anything to 'bring the show into disrepute'. 

They added the original Gladiators were known for their love lives with Ace having a relationship with Katie Price, while Hunter dated Ulrika Jonsson, who hosted the show.
