Gisele snubs Tom Brady as she leaves his name out of Father's Day post... but gushes over Joaquim Valente

Gisele Bundchen appeared to take a swipe at ex-husband Tom Brady in her Father’s Day tribute on Sunday.

The 45-year-old supermodel shares 16-year-old son Benjamin and 13-year-old daughter Vivian with the NFL legend, 48, whom she divorced in 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

But while marking the occasion on Instagram, Bundchen left Brady’s name out of her heartfelt message, instead focusing on her current husband, Joaquim Valente, with whom she welcomed a baby boy in February 2025. 

The Brazilian beauty penned: ‘Happy Father’s Day @joaquimvalente! Thank you for leading by example, and for the values you embody - love, humility, integrity, discipline, kindness and consistency.’

'You are an incredible role model. We are all so grateful for you, and we love you so much.'

She added: 'And dad, thank you for your unconditional love, wisdom, and support through every stage of my life,' before ending: 'Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.'

The timing of Bundchen’s post comes just weeks after Brady marked Mother’s Day with a series of Instagram tributes celebrating the mothers in his life - including his ex-wife.

Brady has yet to publicly respond to her Father’s Day message.

The former NFL star also shares son Jack, 17, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Bundchen tied the knot with the jiu-jitsu instructor on December 3, almost a year after the pair welcomed their son.

According to sources speaking to ET, the ceremony was deliberately low-key, with only close family members present.

‘It was simple and beautiful,’ an insider said, noting that the couple’s infant son, who was 11 months old at the time, was also there.

Another source told People that Bundchen made a conscious decision to keep the occasion completely private.

‘Gisele is tired of all of the attention on her private life,’ the person explained. ‘She just wants to do things her own way - and a small, private non-event was what she wanted.’

While the model has not publicly shared her baby boy’s name or shown his face, friends previously revealed to the Daily Mail that his middle name is River.

In April last year, residents of her Miami neighbourhood spoke to Page Six about her quiet life in the compact Surfside enclave, which spans just 0.564 square miles.

One local said: ‘People have seen her around. But she sticks to her street, which feels like a private road and ends in a cul-de-sac. I’ve never seen her at the community pool, which is only open to Surfside residents, or at the local Publix.’

The resident added that the area is used to celebrity neighbours, including Ivanka Trump.

‘Surfside is the least starstruck community in Miami. Gisele is just another mom in the neighborhood,’ they said.

A wellness devotee, Bündchen is also known to frequent Reforming Pilates in Bay Harbor Islands.

One fellow gym-goer shared: ‘She’s super quiet, and never draws attention to herself.

‘She takes the last reformer in the back and doesn’t linger after class. I can tell she doesn’t like attention being drawn to her. She’s naturally beautiful in person, it’s like she’s glowing.’

Bundchen and Valente first began dating in June 2023, after initially meeting when he was brought on as her martial arts trainer. 

The former couple’s split in 2022 came after months of reported tension behind the scenes, despite Bundchen and Brady’s carefully maintained public image. 

At the time, sources claimed that growing disagreements over lifestyle choices and family priorities had placed increasing strain on the marriage. 

Brady’s continued focus on his NFL career and demanding playing schedule was also frequently cited as a key factor in the breakdown of their relationship.
