This monster Dolomite stage is easily the toughest of the race, packing 5000 metres of elevation into just 151 kilometres of riding. This road is as beautiful as it is brutal, a feast for the eyes but torture for the legs.
Right after the descent comes the penultimate climb, the 10 kilometre long Passo Falzarego and then it’s time for the finish on the exquisite Piani di Pezzè. These final five kilometres average over 10% with slopes as steep as 12%, it’s an evil yet worthy venue to almost certainly decide who is crowned winner of the 2026 Giro.
