When she's not editing the daily news, she can be found hanging out with her wife (they're probably rewatching Ghosts for the millionth time), tweeting about romance, and cooking something delicious while belting to Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter's latest hits at the top of her lungs.

Ghosts has been hit with a major release schedule change ahead of this week's new episode. Today, CBS revealed its official fall lineup, with heavy hitters Ghosts and Matlock suspiciously missing from the schedule. Rather than returning in its usual slot this fall, the beloved series is making way for showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman's new sitcom Eternally Yours. But don't worry, you'll still be able to check back into Woodstone later this year.

The network officially revealed that Ghosts will return this fall with two 1-hour holiday specials for Halloween and Christmas, though specific dates have not been set yet. Season 6 will now officially premiere sometime in early 2027 on the midseason schedule and will still contain 22 episodes. CBS has made the curious decision to launch Eternally Yours in Ghosts' usual spot following a new season of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, despite the new show's supernatural similarities to Ghosts. For now, the rest of Season 5 is set to air with new episodes launching weekly on Thursdays through the end of May.

Ghosts Season 5 will end with the show's first 1-hour finale with back-to-back episodes set to air on May 21. Titled "Up the Creek" and "Across the Pond," the pair of episodes sees Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) attempting to save Woodstone by "securing its place in history" when the property's future is put in jeopardy. The seeds for the finale were planted in the latest episode as Sam revealed major financial struggles for the B&B just before the safety net of Trevor's (Asher Grodman) finance job was yanked out from under them. To top it off, they're now in major debt with the IRS as the ghost neglected to pay his taxes.

'Ghosts' Gets a Visit From 'Young Sheldon' This Week

In the more immediate future, this week's episode of Ghosts will see a familiar face returning to CBS as Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage makes a guest appearance. The young actor will be playing himself in a high-stakes poker game held at the mansion. Speaking with Collider, Armitage had nothing but high praise for the series, saying, “It was such a funny and fun script to read and such a great time on set,” he explained. “I can't wait for people to see it.” The synergy of the worlds of Ghosts and Young Sheldon should bode well for Georgie & Mandy and Eternally Yours when the two series arrive this fall.

Ghosts airs on Thursdays at 8:30 PM ET on CBS. Stay tuned at Collider for further updates on Seasons 5 and 6.
