Capitano has become an interesting figure in the game with the recent revelations about the character’s origins and a portion of his motivations. As a Fatui Harbinger who is not a complete villain and with the several leaks that have already occurred, it is expected that Capitano will become a playable character, much like Arlecchino, Wanderer, and Childe before him. There had been leaks talking about Capitano’s release in a Genshin Impact Natlan patch, but now there have been developments that indicate he may not arrive as soon as desired by the community.

A Contradictory Leak Says Columbina May Arrive In A Version 5.X Patch

While there had already been rumors of Capitano’s release being pushed forward, it seems like the new leaks are hinting at something more ominous. According to information provided by the leaker known as Uncle 111 and shared by HXG, there will not be any new playable Harbinger characters in the Natlan patches – that is, before Version 6.0. The leak was shared in a post flagged as “Suspicious” on Reddit. Furthermore, the post highlights that HXG shared a follow-up to the leak, bringing forth more information about the future of Genshin Impact.

The biggest flaw in Mavuika’s leaked gameplay kit for Genshin Impact 5.3 has allegedly been corrected, making her much more valuable in team comps.

As seen in the pinned comment on the Reddit post, there may be contradictory information. According to the leak, if Columbina appears in the Archon Quests in Version 5.3, she may become a playable character during the Natlan patches – which conflicts with the idea that no Harbinger would become playable in Version 5.X updates. As such, even if Capitano does not become playable in the foreseeable future, there is still a chance that players will gain access to Columbina in Genshin Impact’s next patches, something that had already been hinted at by previous leaks.

These previous leaks said that Capitano’s release as a playable character had been canceled altogether and that the highly anticipated Fatui Harbinger’s release would be substituted by Columbina. These leaks date back to August and the mentions of Columbina becoming playable before Version 6.0 seem to line up with the rumors that had been circulating a few months ago. Still, her release may be several months away from occurring. So far, no details about Columbina as a playable character have been revealed in Genshin Impact leaks.

If Arlecchino’s release as a playable character serves as a comparison base, the Knave became playable in Version 4.6 after her release as an NPC in Version 4.1. Her release was directly connected to new content in Fontaine and, if Columbina’s rumored release is connected to the region of Natlan, the next Harbinger’s release may be set for Version 5.6, too, when HoYoverse should revisit and expand the Nation of Pyro one final time before setting the terrain for Snezhnaya’s release in Genshin Impact in 2025.

New Releases Are Mentioned In Rumors

In addition to the information about the Fatui Harbingers and their possible releases as playable units, HXG also highlighted other leaks shared by Uncle 111. The first is that the protagonist of the 2025 Lantern Rite Festival should be Hu Tao. They also state that there will be a new skin for Hu Tao in Genshin Impact 5.3, which coincides with another series of leaks pointing to the cosmetic’s release. The first leaks about the outfit mentioned it would serve Yelan, but a more consistent string of leaks said it would actually be for the Pyro character.

The leaks also say that Iansan and the rumored Ifa will both be 4-star units, while a new 5-star female character from the Collective of Plenty will be introduced with an upcoming tribe quest – and that she has not yet appeared in any of the Archon Quests in Natlan. Lastly, the leaker has already stated that a new 5-star female character will be released in Version 5.4. It is uncertain to whom they are referring, but it could be the rumored Inazuman character in Genshin Impact.

The unknown 5-star character could be Madame Ping, who has also been rumored, or even the aforementioned Collective of Plenty unit.

For now, all of these leaks should be considered with extreme caution. Not only do they seem incomplete, but they may be incorrect. Additionally, even if they are correct, the leaked information may still be subject to internal changes by HoYoverse over the course of the next few updates. Even so, this is disappointing news for players who were expecting to control Capitano soon, but there is still hope for those who enjoy the Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact.
