Kirsten Storms had previously complained about outside forces interfering with her phone, just before her ex-husband claimed she told him she'd been 'experiencing delusions and hallucinations' in a successful bid for a restraining order.
'I’m recording this actually on one of my old phones,' the General Hospital actress 42, said in a bizarre Instagram clip on April 9. 'And I’m going to send it to that and then upload it as fast as I can and then turn that device off.'
The Orlando, Florida-born actress, who has played Maxie on the ABC daytime series since 2005, was wed to fellow soap actor Brandon Barash, 46, from 2013 until 2016 and shares daughter Harper Rose, 12, with him.
Storms - who said last fall she was seeking treatment for a brain aneurysm - detailed the issues she said she was dealing with that kept her sidelined from the social media platform.
'I know it’s been over a month, two months since I was on Instagram, discussing my devices being hacked in the apartment I moved into in Franklin at the Legacy Cool Springs Building,' Storms said.
Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both parties, and the Franklin Police Department, for further comment on the story.

Storms began the clip: 'Just an update, really quick, because I know I’ve just kind of been unable to get on my Instagram.'
'The cell phone where my Instagram app is logged in is the one I was using when I lived there, and when I log on and connected to WiFi, certain things start happening with it.'
Storms said technical difficulties she had experienced included deleted emails, photos and videos, some of which she said had been 'submitted or uploaded to the Franklin Police Department' as evidence in an investigation she said was ongoing.
The soap star said she was taking deliberate precautions amid the ongoing incidents surrounding her electronic devices.
She had captioned the post, 'Update on cellphone hacking situation, apt break-in and investigation by Franklin PD,' including a pair of images of what appeared to be a damaged door latch and its lock.
Five days later, Storms was back on Instagram with a clip featuring image from a ring cam she said depicted a 2025 break-in at the residence while she had been out of town.
'This is a video of someone outside my apt front door, immediately after my WiFi router was reset,' Storms said in an April 14 post on the platform. 'I had already been emailing the leasing office regarding several devices on my Verizon home Internet, that were not mine and issues with my lock being broken.'
The actress said she was 'still hoping the Legacy Cool Spring building is able to cooperate with the Franklin Police Department, so that I can have peace of mind about who was entering my apartment while I was out of town.

'This situation has been not only concerning for me to deal with on a personal level, but I’m continuing to have to sort out ongoing problems with attempted access to my cell phone and iCloud accounts.'
On Friday, Storms posted again to the social media platform claiming that she had received 'an eviction notice' on her door from the building she lives in.
Storms said the notice came after she 'reported the break-in to the police and continued to attempt to speak with someone from the leasing office, regarding said break-in, without a response.'
The situation involving claims made by the actress comes as her ex-spouse told a Tennessee court that Storms was dealing with a 'mental health crisis' - prior to a judge approving a restraining order request against the actress, according to a court filing reviewed by TMZ.
Barash told the court he has concerns about Storms' 'ability to adequately care for the minor child' in his filing, which was first submitted to the court in December 2025.
The actor said Storms contacted him allegedly saying she was 'experiencing delusions and hallucinations' in May 2025.
Following their split, both parties moved to Tennessee, where Barash said that 'a recurring theme' with Storms has been 'instability with housing,' endangering their daughter.
Storms has also been sued by her landlord for eviction over past due balances, Barash added.

Barash is an alum of soaps such as General Hospital and Days of Our Lives
Barash said in his court filing that Storms did not have a stable residence from a timespan between September 2024 until June of 2025.
Storms, who previously appeared on Days of Our Lives from 1999-2004, was often spending the night with friends or at hotels, her ex-husband said in his court filing.
When she would stay at hotels with their daughter, Barash said, she often changed rooms out of paranoia someone was 'following her and the child to her room.'
Barash, also an alum of soaps such as General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, said in his court filing that Storms' vehicle is on the verge of being repossessed.
Storms has also yet to pay Barash back a personal $5,000 loan, the actor said in his court filing.
She has been steadily-employed as an actress for decades, Barash told the court. Storms has appeared on more than 1,700 episodes of General Hospital since 2005, according to iMDb.
The actress told Barash she felt she had been 'experiencing delusions and hallucinations' amid a mental health crisis on May 19, 2025, per his court filing.
Barash told the court Storms advised him that she 'didn't think she should have the child for her parenting time' as she dealt with the setback.

Storms was subsequently put on a psychiatric hold at a mental health facility, a process which Barash said he and his current spouse Isabella assisted with.
Upon her release, Storms - who was also a child star on programs such as All That, Kim Possible, and Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century - did not acknowledge the events that led to her being hospitalized, Barash said in his filing.
In a November 2025 incident, Barash told the court, Storms said she thought people had been stealing things from her apartment and putting them in her vehicle in an effort to 'mess with her.'
Storms has experienced 'repeated episodes of melting down, being triggered' and 'hearing things/voices that weren't there,' Barash told the court, adding that associates of Storms have pointed to potential abuse of substances such as Adderall.
Barash has requested Storms - who's currently granted supervised visitation with their daughter - be evaluated for her mental health.
The judge in the case is slated to reexamine the restraining order later this week.
