Geena Davis showed off her incredibly smooth features on Thursday as she attended the Elle BNP Paribas Women In Venice event during the Venice International Film Festival.

The actress, 70, cut a stylish figure in a sleek black gown paired with an embellished necklace and black pointed heels as she posed for snaps in the Italian city.

The A League Of Their Own star looked radiant with her auburn locks cascading over her shoulder, while she highlighted her age-defying visage with a dewy makeup palette.

Indeed, Geena looks as though she's barely aged a day since bursting onto the showbiz scene with her role in Tootsie over 40 years ago.

Her smooth complexion has led some fans to speculate that she may have had a little cosmetic help and while Geena has never commented on the surgery speculation, she has credited daily SPF use with her youthful visage.

Last month, Geena wowed fans as she attended the premiere of The Wrong Girls in Los Angeles, beaming for the cameras while clad in an orange minidress.

An aesthetic nurse has since weighed in on Geena's incredible looks, suggesting that subtle tweakments rather than invasive surgery could be behind her glowing appearance.

Anastasia Koles, aesthetic nurse and founder of ALTA Medi Clinic London, told the Daily Mail: 'Geena Davis has always been naturally beautiful and has aged incredibly well, but it's also likely that she's had a few subtle aesthetic treatments to help maintain such a youthful appearance at 70.

'Her skin looks remarkably smooth, even-toned and radiant, which suggests she may invest in treatments that improve skin quality rather than dramatically change her features, such as Lumecca IPL which can be very effective for reducing pigmentation, sun damage and redness, helping the complexion remain bright and clear over time.

'It's also possible she has had anti-wrinkle injections, such as Botox, to soften expression lines and keep her looking youthful while maintaining natural movement.

'Looking at her lower face, it's likely she's also had skin-tightening treatments such as Morpheus8 or other RF microneedling treatments.

'Her jawline and neck remain incredibly well defined, and treatments that stimulate collagen can help maintain firmness in these areas without creating an overfilled or unnatural appearance.

'Combined with a medical-grade skincare routine, regular treatments such as chemical peels or gentle laser resurfacing, and good sun protection, it's entirely possible to achieve a result that looks refreshed, natural and age-appropriate rather than obviously "done."'

In June, Geena was asked about her incredible skin, telling New Beauty: 'I’m firmly convinced that part of it is that I don’t take the sun. I always have sunblock on. It’s been that way since I was 22 or something.

'Back then, I just decided I was going to wear sunblock every day, and I stuck to that. I also never got a tan as a kid; I had to avoid the sun or I would burn. I learned that early on.

'So, I think that really saved me a lot of problems with my skin. I’ve avoided the sun forever.'

Geena also revealed that she doesn't have a dedicated skincare plan, confessing: 'I don’t do anything but I’ve been a sucker for buying some products I’ve seen on TikTok!

'If I hear that something is anti-aging or will make my skin better, I buy it—but then I never use it! I have a whole display of these bottles on the counter in my bathroom, but I don’t really use any of them.

'Thank God I can get away with it because it would be really bad if I didn’t do things that would help me out if I really needed it. It’s not fair, but I get by fairly well.'

Yet while Geena may look half her age, she's proud to be a 70-year-old woman, telling Yahoo in May: 'I think it's fabulous.

'I've liked myself better every year. I even think I look better every year! I don't know if that will switch at some point. Maybe not. But it's fun. You don't worry about age anymore.'
