Game Of Thrones: War For The Throne Officially Releases August 21

With season three of House of the Dragon coming to an end over this weekend, we are in for another two-year long wait for its fourth and final season. Whilst we may have the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms to look forward to in 2027, the hiatus is still going to be felt but, luckily, one hit Game of Thrones-inspired video game has enough upcoming content to keep us busy in the meantime.

First launched back in 2017, Game of Thrones: Conquest allows players to forge their empire, raise dragons, call knights to their army, and most importantly of all, conquer the Seven Kingdoms from the towering Iron Throne. The strategy building game has been quietly lurking in the background for the past few years, but many will be surprised to hear that it boasts an impressive player base, and this is no doubt thanks to its regular updates, including seasonal events and freebies.

So much so, Game of Thrones: Conquest was last updated on 27 July as the iOS and Android title ran its "Freedom in Essos" season, focusing on Daenerys Targaryen as she liberated Slaver's Bay. However, back in July, the hit strategy game welcomed its War for the Throne event, introducing a series of "Rebellion Weekends" running throughout the month. This would allow players to unlock limited-time rewards by battling enemy forces and earning points by defeating enemies, completing objectives, and working alongside their alliance.

If you missed this, do not fret, as August is shaping up to be another incredible month for Game of Thrones: Conquest thanks to its History and Visions event, starting with the Featured Rewards:

• New Gear: Flashback Gear
• New Dragon Gear: Ever-Ready Warrior Peytral
• Braavosi Loan trophies can be traded for prizes in the Recipes tab of your Inventory while the Battle of Yunkai or Bay of Dragons events are active. Remember to use all your Braavosi Loan trophies before the Bay of Dragons event ends!

On top of this, players can grab the Ever-Ready Warrior Gear Set for their dragons, boosting their ranged attack. There is also Flashback Gear, allowing you to craft gear from previous seasons, to name just a few.

However, it is the upcoming events that appeal the most to players, as they not only offer exciting new content, including the arrival of some familiar faces, but it is also the chance to get your hands on some limited-time items and cosmetics. It seems as though August is already shaping up to be a jam-packed month, with the following events taking place up until September:
