House of the Dragon may be on hiatus until its fourth and final season airs in summer 2028, but that does not mean that fans cannot still immerse themselves in the world created by George R.R. Martin as an exciting crossover event has been announced for Game of Thrones: Legends.

Released back in 2024, Game of Thrones: Legends has cemented itself as a strong contender for the best Game of Thrones-inspired RPG on the market. However, the only twist is that it is an Android-exclusive game, leaving millions of potential fans unable to play.

Developed by Zynga, the puzzle role-playing video game features characters and events from the entirety of Martin's high fantasy universe, including Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and despite launching back in 2024, it still receives regular updates and content drops to this day.

That includes an upcoming The House of the Dragon Quest Event which will arrive on Game of Thrones: Legends from Thursday, October 15, at 4 a.m. ET to Monday, October 19, at 2 a.m. ET.

As you can imagine, the brand-new content will coincide with the most recent season of House of the Dragon, by adding some familiar faces and dragons, and keeping players up-to-date with the story so far.

Not only that, but alongside the brand-new The House of the Dragon Quest Event, Legends players can also look forward to the House of the Dragon Summon, taking place during the event but ending even later to give you enough time to get stuck in to the new content.

The Summon event will feature "Legendary Champions" such as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Viserys I Targaryen, Caraxes and Olenna Tyrell. I'm unsure why Olenna Tyrell is joining the House of the Dragon party here, but as the legend who killed Joffrey during the events of Game of Thrones, I will gladly accept her.

With complaints that Game of Thrones: Legends did not include enough characters and content when it first launched, it seems as though Zynga has aimed to double the roster over the past two years, which has definitely been made easier with the three seasons of House of the Dragon that have currently aired. However, with only one more season to go, it remains to be seen how this will affect titles such as Game of Thrones: Legends.

That being said, fans of the franchise are eagerly anticipating the launch of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, an upcoming real-time strategy title from PlaySide Studios. As you assemble your armies, saddle your dragons, and join the side of some of Game of Thrones' most iconic heroes, you will be able to see if you have what it takes to take the Iron Throne once and for all when the game launches some time in 2027.
