“Where is the horse, and the rider?” Théoden asks Gamling in The Two Towers, as he prepares to ride out with what is left of the Rohirrim after the Siege of Helm’s Deep. But this time around, as we prepare for a return to the Rohirrim in a new Lord of the Rings movie, we’re asking a question all major blockbusters ask of themselves on the eve of release: where is the tie-in Funko Pop line?
It’s here. No horses, sadly. Or, at least yet.
With little more than a month until we return to Middle-earth in Kenji Kamiyama’s War of the Rohirrim, io9 has your first exclusive look at three of the Funko Pop figurines set to launch tying into the movie. Three major characters from the film will kick off the line: the King of Rohan himself, Helm Hammerhand; his daughter (and a major new character in the film) Hèra; and the antagonist Wulf, leader of the men of Dunland and an attempted usurper to Helm’s throne. Check out a first look at all three, boxed and unboxed, below!
Funko Pop! Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim
No doubt there’ll be a few more to come inspired by the movie at some point (and again, a world where Funko Rides exist, at least a couple of horse-backed, big-headed vinyl figures feels inevitable for War of the Rohirrim), but for now, Helm, Hèra, and Wulf will cost you $12 each when they become available to order soon.
War of the Rohirrim hits theaters December 13.
