Dave Coulier has revealed he is in remission after battling two different cancers back-to-back.

The 66-year-old Full House alum battled stage three non-Hodgkin Lymphoma before revealing in December that he was diagnosed with early stage P16 carcinoma, also known as oropharyngeal tongue cancer.

Now he has reflected on his tough health journey as he shared the positive major health update.

'It's been a roller coaster ride for sure, Robin. I'm in remission with both cancers and what a journey this has been,' he told host Robin Roberts during an appearance on Good Morning America Wednesday.

Despite the positive news, no doubt facing two different cancers back-to-back has taken its toll on the actor mentally as he says that despite the good news he feels 'like cancer is always in the rearview mirror behind' him.

In November 2024, he had shared that he was battling a 'very aggressive' stage three non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. And in March 2025, the actor positively unveiled he was cancer free.

Then in December, the former sitcom star revealed he was diagnosed with early stage P16 carcinoma, also known as oropharyngeal tongue cancer during an appearance on the Today show.

It had been detected when the star underwent a routine PET scan and said the cancer is 'totally unrelated' to his previous Lymphoma diagnosis in 2024.

'So, in October of this year, I went in for a PET scan, just a routine check-up and something flared on the PET scan,' he explained to host Craig Melvin.

'It turned out that I have P16 squamous carcinoma at the base of my tongue,' Coulier expressed. 'So I said to the doctors, I said, "Well, did this happen because of the lymphoma?" And they said, "Totally unrelated."'

The actor stated that he is in the midst of '35 radiation treatments' which will concluded on December 31.

When asked what the 'prognosis' is, Coulier said, 'Prognosis is very good for P16 squamous carcinoma.

'So, it has a 90+ curability rate. But the thing that has really saved my life, Craig, is that early detection saved my life, not just the first time but the second time as well.'

He then stressed the importance of staying up-to-date with your health and encouraged people to undergo checks.

'So I hope you're getting your check-ups. I hope your colonoscopies and breast exams and prostate exams, they will save your life,' he said.

While also having a conversation with Today.com published on Tuesday, the Hollywood star got candid about undergoing radiation.

During his battle with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Coulier went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

'It's a whole different animal than chemo,' he shared. 'It doesn't feel as aggressive, but there are still side effects.'

Some of the side effect symptoms include nausea as well as pain on the left side of his tongue where the biopsy had taken place as he explained it is 'not 100% healed yet.'

As he nears the end of his radiation treatments on December 31, Coulier expressed, 'I get to start the new year saying, I finished radiation yesterday! It's kind of serendipitous.'

However, he admitted it has been both 'emotional' and 'psychologically draining' to be diagnosed with two separate cancers in one year.

'It's also a big drain to my wife, Melissa, which is the biggest drain on me, seeing how this affects her.'

Back in 2014, he tied the knot with Melissa Bing - whom he first began dating in 2005.

Coulier also pointed out the 'silver lining' amid his diagnosis and explained his previous cancer 'helped me detect my other cancer. It seems crazy to be making that statement, but it's true.'

He added, 'Had I not gone in and listened to my doctors and made sure that I got that PET scan to follow up, we would have never found this carcinoma ... and I could be in a world of hurt. This could have progressed immensely, and I would be in trouble.'

Late last year in November, he revealed on Today that he had been diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

His cancer journey began after finding a 'golf ball' size lump in his groin area - which then grew in 'a matter of days.'

Coulier recalled at the time, 'We biopsied it, we took it out, and they said, "We wish we had better news for you but you have B cell lymphoma, we need to get you into chemotherapy right away."'

And back in March of this year, the star's representative confirmed to People that he was cancer free.

His Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure jumped to Instagram to also share the news.

Alongside a photo of herself posing with Coulier and his wife, the actress penned: 'DAVE IS CANCER FREE!!!! Join me in celebrating this AMAZING news - let's shower him with all the love in the world! ❤️❤️❤️.'

The actor - who has been sober since 2020 - also told Parade at the time, 'Melissa and I waited for a week to get the biopsy results back, and there is no sign of cancer.'

Coulier continued, 'One of the few times in my life when "zero" has been a great number to hear.'

His wife also told the outlet that the star had been 'prepared' to die following his sixth round of chemotherapy.

'Those conversations were obviously so tough,' she expressed.

Coulier has previously opened up about other family members that have been affected by cancer.

He told People last year, 'I lost my mom to breast cancer. I lost my sister Sharon to breast cancer. She was 36 years old. I lost my niece, Shannon. She was 29 years old.'

The actor additionally revealed his sister Karen was battling cancer during his own journey at the time.

'I saw what those women in my family went through, and I thought to myself, "If I can be just 1/10th of a percent as strong as they were, then I'm going to be just fine."'
