Fresh Movies of 2026, Ranked by Tomatometer

If you’ve ever wondered the difference between a film that’s “Fresh” and “Certified Fresh”, here’s the TLDR: If at least 60 percent of a film’s reviews are positive, it becomes Fresh. And when a film hits certain requirements, it becomes Certified Fresh, which is our way of saying it has some of the best reviews of its era.

But just because a movie doesn’t meet the threshold of becoming Certified Fresh doesn’t mean it isn’t still great. Films like Friday, Castle in the Sky, and The Fifth Element are all beloved classics — and “only” Fresh.

2026 has had some fun Fresh films. Don’t believe me?
