Fox Sports star nicknamed 'Mr Perfect' linked to socialite with a powerful ex-husband... after his split from PR guru sparked society chatter

The most eligible bachelor in Bondi may not be single for long.

Just months after quietly calling it quits with PR maven Sharz Shabani Pour, Matt Suleau has been linked to glamorous Sydney socialite Eleni Taylor.

The dashing Fox Sports presenter's taste for women over 40 has long been the talk of Sydney's east - and the latest sighting will do little to change his reputation.

Eleni is the ex‑wife of Sydney construction magnate Mark Taylor, CEO of Taylor Construction Group, a NSW‑based builder behind major commercial and education projects, and owner of the multimillion-dollar One O One superyacht.

She and Mark, who share two teenage children, are believed to have split in 2021.

About a year after their break-up, she was photographed with then-single celebrity accountant Anthony Bell, who later clarified the meeting was strictly business.

Eleni, once tipped to join the cast of Sydney's Real Housewives franchise, often appears at prestigious social and charity events in the Emerald City, including the Gold Dinner, a high‑profile fundraiser for the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation. 

She is also known locally for her expansive Bellevue Hill home renovation featuring marble sourced from the same quarry as Michelangelo's David.

Notably, Eleni was a member of the so‑called 'Kambala set' - a circle of well-heeled private school parents who attended a 2016 Mykonos holiday that ended in prominent businessman Nicholas 'Nic' Stavropoulos facing rape charges.

Eleni and her ex-husband may be called as witnesses in Stavropoulos' upcoming retrial in Greece with other members of the group. They are not accused of wrongdoing and Stavropoulos maintains his innocence.

Although Matt and Eleni haven't made things 'Instagram official', society observers noticed the pair together over the weekend at CBD hotspot The International. 

They posed together in a photo posted by Mourad Ayat - the husband of former Vogue Australia editor Kirstie Clements - who reportedly has links to the restaurant.

Of course, it's no surprise that Eleni hasn't appeared on Matt's carefully curated Instagram feed, which portrays him as a carefree bachelor who spends his days mingling with glamorous models, attending F1 events and driving luxury cars.

It was a pattern observed throughout his previous relationship with Sharz.

During the year they were dating, she rarely featured on his feed and was instead sporadically shown on his Stories and Highlights.

Sharz, the founder of hospitality PR firm Refine Marketing, was, by contrast, more forthcoming, often sharing pictures of them together, including from her forty-first birthday party and a luxury Crown Sydney staycation Matt had organised.

At the time, friends dismissed it as just a difference in how they used social media.

However, after their split, it seemed as though Matt’s priorities may have been elsewhere.

The former couple were last photographed together in November last year, arm-in-arm at Derby Day inside The Birdcage at Flemington Racecourse.

Sharz joined a list of Matt's high-profile exes, including Real Housewives of Melbourne star Simone Elliott, 44, and socialite Maria Sprem, 50 - a dating résumé that earned him a reputation as a cougar-chasing ladies' man.

Despite being only 37, Matt - who has the nickname 'Bondi's Mr Perfect' - is already an 18-year TV veteran and one of the youngest presenters to host Sports Tonight.

He cut his teeth at Channel 10 before joining Fox Sports in 2015, with roles across Fox and Sky News Australia.

He also serves as a Starlight Foundation ambassador.

Matt did not respond to our request for comment; however, a source told the Daily Mail that he and Eleni were friends.
