Former child star is best known for her role as the perfect blonde eldest sister in a famous TV family...who is she?

She's best known for playing one of the most beloved sisters in a famous TV family in the late 60s and early 70s. 

At just 13 years old she charmed viewers as the sweet, pretty, blonde, 'girl next door' and responsible oldest sister to her five siblings throughout the ABC sitcom's original five-season run.

Her character's flawless, popular image inspired her jealous, awkward little sister's now-famous catchphrase whenever she felt overshadowed on the show. 

But despite her picture-perfect persona onscreen, the TV icon in real life would eventually face a common fate among fellow child stars – falling into addiction which affected her career after the show ended.

These days, the actress looks fit and healthy, and remains a loveable, resilient television icon who has overcome personal struggles.

It's Maureen McCormick!  

The Brady Bunch alum, now 68, was recently spotted running errands in her California neighborhood during a rare public outing. 

Exclusive DailyMail.com photos show McCormick, who found fame playing Marcia Brady in the 70s TV show, out and about in Westlake Village on the afternoon on December 11. 

She looked comfy and casual in an athletic outfit consisting of a colored sports sweater, black leggings, and sneakers. 

McCormick cemented her place as a pop culture icon with her role as Marcia, but her real life in the years following the show's conclusion was far from perfect.  

She has been open about her struggles with addiction in years gone by, admitting to a chronic cocaine habit that overshadowed her life and career. 

In 2008 she spoke candidly about her issues in an eye-opening tell-all, titled, Here's The Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice.

The bestseller chronicled, among other things, her descent into addiction, trading sex for drugs, crippling depression, and a battle with bulimia.

She revealed her decision to get on the straight and narrow was prompted by husband Michael Cummings – with whom she will celebrate 40 years of marriage in March 2025 –  after he gave her an ultimatum that he would leave if she ever did drugs again. 

Thankfully that scared Maureen straight and she has been clean and sober ever since. 

The couple, who share a 35-year-old daughter, Natalie, now live a quiet life outside Los Angeles.

This past March marked the 50th anniversary of The Brady Bunch, which featured a large blended family of six children, with three boys and three girls. 

It ran from 1969-1974 and co-starred Barry Williams (Greg), Eve Plumb (Jan), Susan Olsen (Cindy), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Christopher Knight (Peter). 

Jan's catchphrase 'Marcia Marcia Marcia' became famous, saying it whenever she was unfavorably compared to her sister.

Robert Reed, who played patriarch Mike Brady, died in 1992 and Florence Henderson, who depicted matriarch Carol Brady, passed away in 2016.

McCormick has had much smaller TV roles in recent years, including her 2016 appearance as a contestant in Dancing with the Stars.
