The second entry in Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy is heading to Switch 2 in the coming months.
As announced at this afternoon's Nintendo Partner Direct, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will make its Switch 2 debut on 3rd June.
We previously suspected the entire Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy would make its way onto Nintendo's console. Back in May of last year, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi discussed the Switch 2 technical specs, and kept making references to the Final Fantasy 7 remake series. That has all since been confirmed.
"After escaping the dystopian city of Midgar, join Cloud and his friends on an epic journey across the planet in pursuit of Sephiroth. Ride chocobos, sprint across sweeping plains, and explore a vibrant, expansive world," reads the official blurb.

As for how we enjoyed Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on its initial PS5 release, well here is what Ed Nightingale had to say about it all: "Rebirth is a playful take on an emo classic that's bloated but full of character in a bid to justify its own existence."
