Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Earlier this week saw the launch of the beloved Final Fantasy X on the Nintendo Switch 2, serving as the newest remaster of the 2001 RPG with the same name. Marking, as you can probably guess, the tenth installment in the Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy X was the first in the series to feature two game-defining additions: fully 3D environments and voice acting.

As such, it has become one of the most memorable entries in the Square Enix saga, so it is perhaps no surprise that it is still just as loved well over two decades later.

Tidus and Yuna from Final Fantasy X

Set in Spira, a location inspired by the South Pacific known as Spira, players take on the role of Tidus, a star athlete who finds himself traveling to Spira after his homeland is destroyed by Sin. Joined by the likes of Yuna, Tidus and his group of adventurers come together to take down Sin, who they soon discover to be none other than Jecht, Tidus' missing father.

Now hailed as one of the greatest video games of all time, Final Fantasy X received a remaster, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, back in 2013, and now with its Nintendo Switch 2 remaster also out in the world, the beloved entry is back in the spotlight alongside another exciting new release.

Courtesy of the Hobby Genki website, Final Fantasy X fans can now get their hands on plushies inspired by some of their favorite characters from the game. This includes: Tidus, Yuna, Wakka, Lulu, Rikku, Kimahri, and Auron.

Coming in at $9 each and now available to pre-order ahead of their launch on 30 November 2026, they will make the perfect Christmas gift for the FFX fans in your life.

This collection comes courtesy of the "Pocket Peeplets" set of mascot plushies, and measuring a mere 150mm, they are compact, complete with "a soft-touch finish and big, expressive eyes." As such, customers can fit them on their bag, display on their desks, or even carry around in their pockets.

Following the announcement of the new collection over on Twitter/X, here is what fans had to say. "It's time to spend," one user said, whilst another added, "Lulu's the only one I'd actually trust to hold my keys."

With all of the plushies now available for pre-order, you can pick your favorite Final Fantasy X character, or even go big and grab the whole collection ahead of their November shipping date.
