The Sims 4 and Stardew Valley are both titans of the life simulation genre, but crossing the two over with each other is a task that's exclusively come down to the community over the years. As far as official content goes, the closest that The Sims 4 offers to the Stardew Valley experience is the Cottage Living expansion, which provides a taste of the cozy farming life. Luckily, The Sims 4 is all about customization, and taking advantage of those features makes it possible to bring characters from Stardew Valley to life in a world with an extra dimension.

Reddit user nomennoemi shared some fantastic recreations of Stardew Valley characters in The Sims 4's Create-A-Sim mode, providing a full-body shot and close-up of each figure. A gallery of 14 images puts the spotlight on Robin, Demetrius, Maru, Sebastian, Harvey, Emily, and Haley.

Nomennoemi's work is far from the first fan effort to bring Stardew Valley villagers into The Sims 4, but it's one of the most compelling. Despite the change in style, the end result maintains plenty of the characters' charms.

The assortment of Stardew Valley characters in the Sims 4 recreation is a nice mix, including major romance options like Emily and Harvey alongside characters that make their mark without a path to marriage. Although Robin is already married in Stardew Valley and can only be dated through mods, she's a common fan favorite, and the Sims version comes surprisingly close to her signature hairstyle.

Fan Creations Can Be Inspiring

Although The Sims 4 has plenty of memorable characters of its own, bringing in fun villagers from Stardew Valley is a neat way to play with the game's toolset and the rich world of custom content. Fan crossovers can also help to bring communities together and get people interested in more games invoking the profit-driven nature of official collaborations. Nomennoemi's creations are not only great examples of what Create-A-Sim can do, but they're also a testament to the influence of Stardew Valley and the fantastic work that's been done by The Sims 4 modders.
