The wait for Fallout 5 continues and with the post-apocalyptic setting joining the likes of The Elder Scrolls VI in the list of Bethesda titles that seem as though they will never see the light of day in our lifetimes, fans are getting angsty. After all, the Fallout franchise began its life way back in 1997, and since then, it has become a cornerstone of the gaming sphere. Now, with nine mainline entries under its belt, alongside multiple spin-offs, remasters, and even a hit Prime live-action adaptation, it is no wonder that fans want more.
However, despite Fallout 5 first being announced back in 2022 as the next major Bethesda project after The Elder Scrolls VI, we have yet to receive any further information since.
Fallout 5 Step Aside, Fallout: The New West Is Here

Created by the United West Team, Fallout: The New West offers an alternate start for Fallout: New Vegas. "Before the Mojave ever knew your name, Odysseus did," the official mod description reads. "Processed, numbered, and confined within Tibbets Prison, you begin your adventure unlike anywhere you have ever been before. In this exciting introduction to Fallout: The New West, you begin to learn the story that will unfold in the coming years."
Set within Tibbets Prison, players will embark on a never-before-seen journey with a brand-new player background designed for role-playing opportunities. With brand-new characters introduced, developing plotlines, new gear and traits tailored to the alternate start, and even a fully featured and polished custom intro movie for the game, this mod is perfect for those who want just another excuse to boot up the beloved Fallout: New Vegas.
