Fallout Officially Returns This August With Brand-New Release

The Fallout franchise is arguably bigger than it has ever been before, despite the fact that we haven't had a single-player game in the series since 2015. With Bethesda squirreling away on The Elder Scrolls VI right now, that poor run of form is going to continue for the foreseeable future, but there are plenty of silver linings for longtime fans.

The Prime Video adaptation continued its immediate quality into a second season, with more of that to come relatively soon. At the same time, Fallout 76 continues to receive updates, and rumors swirl that we might get a Fallout 3 remaster before too long either. Now, another release is on the way that should appeal to physical collectors, and it's a lot more premium than the usual merchandise.

Over on Dark Horse Direct, players can pick up the Fallout Mr. Handy "Snip-Snip" Statue, all created in polyresin and measuring a staggering 21.3” in height (for the entire model). The model itself is based on the Mr. Handy design featured in the TV show, and it has to be said that the details they've managed to include here are pretty incredible.

The details shared on the product in its official description are as follows:

"In this highly detailed statue by Substance Model Works, Snip-Snip’s eyes and TV light up, and includes 7 authentic Snip-Snip voice lines. You'll be immersed in the world of Fallout when you push the VHS tape on the VCR to control the T.V. and lights!

That very limited nature and the high quality materials included doesn't come cheap though, and the statue is priced at $499.99/£373.04 depending on your region. It's set to ship some time between August and October this year, though the manufacturer hasn't confirmed the specifics of that just yet.

In the meantime, we just have to sit tight and wait to hear more from Bethesda about how things are going on the next game. Given their track record of keeping entirely silent recently, though, it might be best to not hold out too much hope of getting anything tangible any time soon on the Fallout front.
