James is a gaming writer from London who has spent thousands of hours exploring titles from every genre. Though he has a particular affinity for multiplayer titles like World of Warcraft, Destiny 2 and League of Legends, he has also put thousands of hours into single-player experiences, from deep RPGs to epic PC strategies. When he's not playing or writing, he can usually be found supporting his beloved Brentford FC.
As a franchise, Fallout really is bigger than it has ever been before, with millions of fans brought into the fold by additional adaptations like the one on Prime Video. That’s despite the fact that we haven’t enjoyed a new game in the series for over a decade at this point, other than Fallout 76, which doesn’t fully cater to those who tend to avoid multiplayer experiences and MMOs.
That said, the situation should hopefully change soon, with Xbox head Asha Sharma hoping to prioritize the series moving forward, which could mean new games are farmed out to other studios, at least in part, in the meantime. While we wait, there are plenty more releases coming out all the time, and one is particular should appeal to those who love physical items for their game collections.
GoodSmileOver on Twitter/X, the company Good Smile US shared information around the upcoming release of a new officially licensed Fallout product, the PLAMATEA T-60 power armor model. The description for the product on their website reads as follows:
“From the ‘Fallout’ game series comes a plastic model of the T-60 Power Armor, the main power armor used by the Brotherhood of Steel (BOS) paramilitary organization.”
They also have a list of features included in the model, as follows:
- This model kit makes use of snap-fit connections for easy assembly. No adhesive required.
- Accessories include a minigun, assault rifle, fusion core, Nuka-Cola and other optional parts for different poses.
- Some pre-painted parts included.
- Use included water-slide decals to match the power armor worn by BOS Knights.
The model is incredibly detailed in the art renders they have included, and it should absolutely appeal to longtime fans who really know what they’re looking at.
The only caveat to that good time is that we are very much in the pre-order stage right now, with the product not expected to ship until some time between Jul 1 – Sep 30, 2027.
Bethesda EntertainmentAs much as Bethesda is taking a long time to make new video games right now, it would be pretty unthinkable from a business perspective if they didn’t take advantage of how hot the iron is at the moment. Whether that means remakes are on the way or something else entirely, the pressures of parent company Microsoft should certainly serve as some motivation to get something out quickly. I’m hoping it will be the long-rumored Fallout 3 remake, but we’ll just have to sit tight and wait to find out.
