Bethesda Entertainment's games really do seem to have a longevity beyond what most titles can dream of, mostly thanks to the dedicated community that continues to play and support them. If we ignore the necessity of the situation, given how long it has been since we have enjoyed a new Fallout or Elder Scrolls release, it's actually quite nice that there's still so much love for what are great games.
Fallout 4 Is Still Going Strong
Though there is understandably plenty of controversy around the idea of paid mods, the Bethesda Creation Club does have plenty of interesting downloads to enhance your next game of Fallout 4. Whether you're after a simple new weapon to use in-game, or a set of quality-of-life changes that fix that one thing that's been bothering you, there's a little something out there for everyone.
The platform's verified creators are usually a good place to start, and there are some exciting potential downloads that have just hit the storefront. Evolution is a dynamic NPC overhaul that "breathes new life into every encounter in the game." Now, enemies will approach combat scenarios in different ways, while health, stats, armor, and abilities have all been shuffled around.
Buzzard's Bounties is a highly ambitious quest mod that includes 10 individual quests, nine voiced characters, over 600 lines of dialogue, and companion interactions, as well as new weapons, outfits, interiors, and vendors.
Another great pick is Bard's Followers, which is a really fun mod that essentially allows players to recruit anything in the Commonwealth as a follower. If you've always dreamed of being followed around by a Deathclaw, a raider, and a big Protectron, or some other weird variation on the Suicide Squad, then this is absolutely the download for you.
Fallout 4 Modders Are A Dedicated Bunch
Fallout 4, and all of the other games in the series, continue to receive immense support from modders the world over. They're doing a great job filling in the gaps between releases so far, but we're really keeping everything crossed that Bethesda does manage to deliver at least some goods relatively soon.
