Fable has just got a new release date trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase. It'll be releasing on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on the 23rd February, 2027.
In the trailer, we're introduced to Isable, the Hero of Wraithmarsh, who appears to be a darker character in tone than we've seen in previous trailers. The trailer gives us a little bit of a glimpse into the story of this upcoming Fable, albeit a brief one.
The game is still coming to the PS5 as was previously announced, so unlike Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution's exclusivity, PlayStation players should still be able to give it a go next year.
This trailer is a drastic shift in tone from previous ones we've seen. Those have leaned more towards the traditional comedic tone Fable is known for, but then again you have been able to be rather naughty in older entries in the series. So, perhaps it is fitting!
The game was reportedly delayed to 2027 due to worries around GTA6's release. and this February release date does certainly veer the game far away from the Rockstar mega-release.
