‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Season 3 (2022–Present)
Arriving on: November 11, 2026
The first-ever television production in The Lord of the Rings franchise, The Rings of Power serves as a prequel to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and is adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s extensive history of Middle-earth, drawn from the appendices of The Lord of the Rings. Set during a time of relative peace, the series covers major events from Middle-earth’s Second Age, including the forging of the legendary rings and Sauron’s rise to power as the new Dark Lord. Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Benjamin Walker, Ismael Cruz Córdova, and Daniel Weyman reprise their roles for Season 3, with Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, and Simon Pegg as new characters.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has thrilled fans with its opulent production ever since its premiere in 2022. The first and second seasons were highly praised for their earnest tribute to Tolkien’s universe and the innovative expansion of the history of Middle-earth. Rings of Power Season 3 is set five years after the fall of Eregion during the War of the Elves and Sauron, when Sauron secretly begins to craft his weapon of ultimate power that would give him final victory over all Middle-earth.
‘Madden’ (2026)
Arriving on: November 18, 2026
Inspired by the life and work of American football coach and commentator John Madden, Madden is an all-new biographical sports drama directed and co-produced by David O. Russell. Starring Nicolas Cage as the titular legend, the film chronicles his journey from a Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Oakland Raiders to becoming football's most recognizable voice and building the worldwide Madden NFL video game series. Christian Bale, Kathryn Hahn, John Mulaney, Sienna Miller, and Shane Gillis star as other real-life personalities.
Described officially as “a celebration of a brilliant mind whose once-in-a-century spirit and personality, partnership with his daring wife Virginia, lifelong friendships, and infectious love of people and football transcended the world of sports,” Madden is a must-watch for sports fans. The Pro Football Hall of Fame NFL coach and sports commentator is one of the most recognizable figures in football history and a beloved icon who famously never had a losing season and has won 16 Sports Emmy Awards. Madden will make its streaming premiere on Prime Video on November 18, following its theatrical release on November 11, 2026.
‘The Greatest’ (2026)
Arriving on: November 4, 2026
Created by Ben Watkins and produced by Lonnie Ali and Michael B. Jordan, The Greatest is the first-ever authorized scripted series about Muhammad Ali, presenting an intimate exploration of his phenomenal life as a boxer, humanitarian, and global icon. Jaleen Best stars as the titular legend (who fans might recognize from All American: Homecoming), while showrunner Watkins is best known for creating shows like Hand of God and Cross. The series also stars Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, Kai Parham, and Amin Joseph as main characters, with Michael Ealy and Giovanni Ribisi in recurring roles.
Since his landmark gold medal win at the 1960 Olympics, Muhammad Ali has been the subject of several feature films, TV shows, animated TV series, and over a dozen major documentary films and TV specials. But the Prime Video original is special for touching upon his personal life and candid moments. The eight-episode limited series not only traces his journey from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali, but also looks at his life beyond the fame and fortune and depicts him as a son, brother, husband, and father.
‘Blade Runner 2099’ (2026)
Arriving on: November 25, 2026
The latest installment in the Blade Runner franchise, Blade Runner 2099 is a direct sequel to Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 and Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, all of which are based on Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. The miniseries is set 50 years after the events of the 2017 film and focuses on Olwen, an aging Replicant Blade Runner, and her mysterious partner, Cora, a human pretending to be a replicant, who are tasked with hunting down a gang of rogue Replicants. Michelle Yeoh stars as Olwen and Hunter Schafer plays Cora, with Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben as other main characters.
Between 1982 and now, Blade Runner has grown into a robust cyberpunk media franchise that includes two feature films, three shorts, an animated series, and several games. Created by Silka Luisa and produced by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner 2099 is one of the most anticipated sci-fi shows of 2026 and the second TV series in the titular franchise following 2021’s Blade Runner: Black Lotus. As revealed in the trailer, the upcoming miniseries shares the core atmosphere, textures, and grungy world-building established by Ridley Scott in the 1982 film but features higher stakes and a major shift in the power dynamic between humans and replicants.
‘The Boy Who Stole Billions?’ (2026)
Arriving on: November 30, 2026
Image via Prime VideoDirected by Nanette Burstein, The Boy Who Stole Billions? is a deep-dive documentary series about Sam Bankman-Fried and the collapse of his $32 billion cryptocurrency empire, FTX. The three-part series delves into one of the biggest frauds in U.S. history with unprecedented access and exclusive firsthand accounts from Sam Bankman-Fried himself, provided during his prison sentence. The documentary also features never-before-seen interviews with various other figures involved with Bankman in his personal life and business, including his co-CEO and former girlfriend, Caroline Ellison.
Founded in 2019 by Bankman-Fried and Gary Wang, FTX became a major crypto exchange in its short-lived existence before collapsing in 2022 due to a major financial fraud. Bankman-Fried and his fintech empire have also been the subject of Ben MacKenzie’s 2025 documentary Everyone Is Lying to You for Money and a segment on 60 Minutes. A close-up look at the rise and fall of the poster boy of cryptocurrency, The Boy Who Stole Billions? has been described as “a series that will surprise many, bringing audiences closer to the people behind the headlines and opening up Sam's world in ways it has never been seen before.”
