The world of K-dramas is in a constant state of flow as it introduced dozens of beloved new limited series every year. With July being one of its busiest months of any given year, this has given rise to a strong cluster of releases as Summer 2026 wears on. This includes the latest hot rom-coms, action-packed returns, and a range of genres from melodramas, to thrillers, with some truly exceptional talent taking on new and exciting roles.
But with such a solid array of great content on the way, one's head may begin to spin especially when considering what streaming services will have what show available. This comes in addition to ongoing streaming hits on Netflix like June's Agent Kim Reactivated, making for an excellent summer of viewing across enough genres to keep any audience content for the weeks ahead. Below are all known K-dramas coming in July 2026, pending any sudden additions which will be reflected in a later update.
The Husband
- Where to Stream: Disney+/Hulu (July 9)
- Studio(s): Red Nine Pictures, KBS Media
- Release Date: July 4, 2026
Initially broadcast on KBS2, this thriller is part of a K-drama double-header for July 4 to kick off the month's avalanche of new series. The show stars Namkoong Min (Good Manager) and Lee Seol (Less Than Evil) as neurosurgeon and hospital director Kang Tae-ju and his wife and hospital chairwoman Ko Se-yun, respectively. Amid a collapsing marriage, Se-yun is suddenly kidnapped, with Tae-ju's pursuit of the perpetrators drawing him further into a conspiracy forcing him to be as much on the run from the law as he is trying to rescue his estranged wife and bring justice against her kidnappers.
Love In Sync
- Where to Stream: TBD (Listed on Disney+ Internationally)*
- Studio(s): WeMad, LG U+, MBC C&I
- Release Date: July 4, 2026
Only two months after a memorable if brief appearance on Bloodhounds season 2, Kang Min-ah joins Kim Myung-soo for the first rom-com K-drama of July 2026. The series is a solid juxtaposition of its male and female leads, with Kim's performance as Cha Eun-hwan, a highly empathetic and renowned psychological counselor whose handle on life and his emotions is upended by an unexpected incident, bringing him to meet Yoo Ji-an (Kang).
*While listed internationally as Disney+, Love in Sync currently doesn't appear to be available for North American viewers on the platform or Hulu. Any further updates will be reflected here.
With Ji-an being a former idol-turned actress, her struggles become quickly apparent due to her lack of empathy. Think of her like Ai Hoshino, except instead of her fans reincarnating into her twin children, Ji-an's big fantastical moment is an "emotional transference" bringing her together with Eun-hwan, helping the two achieve balance through their worlds suddenly colliding.
Family Register
- Where to Stream: Kocowa+ (Coming Soon)
- Studio(s): MBC C&I, Void
- Release Date: July 6, 2026

Sin And Love
- Where to Stream: SEEKMedia
- Release Date: July 8, 2026
Another BL series joining the roster for 2026, Sin and Love has it all: corruption, suspense, and romance featuring Kim Seong-hyuk, Jung Hyun-woong, Jung Myeong-cheol, and Kim Hyeon-seo. The series will be available in Korea to stream on iQIYI but international viewers should be able to check it out as it drops on SEEKMedia's YouTube account. There will be plenty of spicy action and drama as a kidnapping exposes past wounds and the rot eating away at the city as everything points to a key development from a decade ago.
The Apartment Job
- Where to Stream: Netflix
- Studio(s): SLL, Red Nine Pictures
- Release Date: July 11, 2026
Generally speaking, any K-drama featuring Kim Won-hae in a supporting role is almost always going to be excellent, and The Apartment Job is no exception. As a comedy-drama, the series features an excellent cast including Ji Sung (The Judge Returns), Ha Yoon-kyung (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), Park Byung-eun (Oh My Baby), Moon So-ri (Queenmaker) and, of course, Kim Won-hae as "Lizard" among others. In search of a hidden stash of money, former gangster Park Hae-gang (Ji) enters an apartment complex with a bid to lead their apartments residents' association as its chairman, while unearthing the corruption taking place there.
For those who have watched Vincenzo, this plot may sound eerily familiar, and it's even more perfectly placed given The Apartment Job will also be released on Netflix. That being said, with a greater focus on comedy, Hae-gang is unlikely to have moments quite as intense as Song Joong-ki's character, but Ji is certainly able to bring the heat when called upon, in case the series has more dramatic surprises ahead.
Dream To You
- Where to Stream: Viki
- Studio(s): Content Planner, Big Ocean ENM
- Release Date: July 13, 2026
True Beauty fans will be delighted to see Hwang In-youp returning for a lead role, this time opposite the unforgettable Lee Hye-ri (Reply 1988) as the two play young professionals in their 30s, reigniting their old high school flame. In Dream to You, Ju Yi-jae (Lee) was once
an aspiring filmmaker passionate enough to inspire friend and future boyfriend Woo Soo-bin (Hwang) whose own aspirations were initially stifled by family expectations. But after growing apart around the end of high school, the two reunite with their lives drastically different.
Yi-jae is now a struggling TV reporter when they meet again, while Soo-bin is an award-winning film director. Their reunion prompts old feelings to resurface, including Yi-jae's ambitions, but the bigger question many audiences will wonder is whether they can rekindle what they once had.
My Idol, My Debut
- Where to Stream: TBD
- Release Date: July 16, 2026
One of the shorter upcoming additions currently anticipated for an MBC Dramanet broadcast before streaming on Wavve, TVING, and WATCHA in South Korea, My Idol, My Debut is slated for a concise run from July 16 to 23, 2026, with an anticipated four episodes. The series features Han Jae-ha (played by Ji Chang-min/Q), an idol from the fictional Boy to the Moon group, and the devoted fan Choi Ae-ni (played by Hwang Ji-ah) who sets out to stop Jae-ha's murder by preventing his debut in the past.
Featuring a time-slip plot line, My Idol, My Debut certainly has Lovely Runner tones while bringing fun twists of its own. Traveling eight years into the past to try and prevent the incident, Ae-ni winds up falling in as an idol trainee, as promotional materials show her among the members of Irion as romance and fantasy collide.
The East Palace
- Where to Stream: Netflix
- Studio(s): Showrunners, Imaginus
- Release Date: July 17, 2026
A dark fantasy wrapped up in period drama clothing, The East Palace is perfectly at home alongside other similar hits like Kingdom or Gyeongseong Creature. The series follows Nam Joo-hyuk (Start-Up) in a fictional bygone era where he plays Gu-cheon, a man contracted by the king as a ghost-slayer alongside Saeng-gang (played by Roh Yoon-seo), a court lady with the powers of a medium.
With the power to travel between the human world and the spectral realm, Gu-cheon's story is sure to be an absolute visual treat as it hits Netflix, itself kicking off an early start to a mid-July weekend loaded with thrills and chills...
Spooky In Love
- Where to Stream: Netflix
- Studio(s): CJ ENM Studios, B.pic, Sangsang Film
- Release Date: July 18, 2026
Not about to let The East Palace have all the ghostly fun, Spooky in Love's tvN run will go concurrently with its Netflix streaming distribution, releasing new episodes every Saturday and Sunday to follow through to its conclusion. The series is especially exciting for those perhaps craving a similar experience to that of Hotel Del Luna as it follows Chaeon Yeo-ri, a hotel CEO with the ability to see ghosts and Ma Kang-uk, an ace prosecutor who investigates unsolved murder cases.
But perhaps the singular most exciting aspect about Spooky in Love is that it stars the incredible Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo, The WONDERFools) as Yeo-ri alongside Ong Seong-wu (Strong Girl Nam-soon) as Kang-uk. The series features as a remake of 2011's Spellbound film, a formula that's worked spectacularly in the past by fleshing out feature-length stories into longer limited series, as shown last year by The Manipulated.
A Shop For Killers (Season 2)
- Where to Stream: Disney+/Hulu
- Studio(s): Merrychristmas, Project Onion
- Release Date: July 22, 2026
As if the Goblin reunion special wasn't enough for fans demanding Lee Dong-wook's return to the screen, A Shop for Killers continues its stellar action thriller spectacle while bringing its central stars into dangerous new territory. Jin-man has survived. Ji-an has inherited Murthehelp, the shadiest of shopping malls. Babylon is making its move, potentially drawing out Jin-man in the process. The series promises amped-up action, killer guest stars like Masaki Okada and Hyunri, and so much more, as Ji-an is shown an engrossing world of assassination.
- Where to Stream: TBD
- Studio(s): Monster Union, Contents G
- Release Date: July 25, 2026
A strong reminder that longform K-dramas are still alive and well, with Love on the Menu reportedly set to have 50 episodes, clearly more than the usual limited runs modern fans and newcomers are adjusted to, with this being far from the medium's longest even then. The series stars Ahn Hee-yeon (Call It Love) and Ha Seok-jin (Blind) as side dish shop owner Han "Leader Han" Gyu-rim and Italian chef and restaurant owner Kim Mu-jin, respectively. The series depicts their meeting, with them having previously dated until Gyu-rim, already struggling to uphold her family, ultimately ended things with him.
15 Best Feel-Good K-Dramas, Ranked
Heartwarming feel-good K-dramas have the unique ability to lift spirits with their humorous moments, wholesome friendships, and sweet romances.
But eight years later, they meet again as ex-lovers, as they weigh the possibility of getting together against the pressures that caused them to break up before. Love on the Menu thus joins as yet another addition to the lovable lineup of K-dramas about food, drink, and romance.
The Affair Was Just Beginning
- Where to Stream: TBD
- Release Date: July 31, 2026
A black comedy set to drop on COUPANG TV just as July closes, The Affair Was Just Beginning focuses on Gyeong Hui (played by Kim Hye-soo), a business owner and influencer widely recognized for what seems like an enviable home life. As Gyeong Hui attempts to grow her business and build connections, rumors begin swirling about her husband having an affair. The truth, however, was something far worse.
The series teases her moment of confrontation becoming something far worse as Gyeong Hui sees her husband with a dead body, suddenly implicated in an accident which she subsequently joins her husband in covering up. But their secret isn't safe for long, as it seems there was a witness recording everything that went down that fateful night.
A Bona Fide Killer
- Where to Stream: TBD
- Studio(s): Bon Factory, Baram Pictures. Studio PIM
- Release Date: July 31, 2026
One of the more intriguing K-dramas to drop just as the month ends, A Bona Fide Killer adapts the eponymous manhwa about Yoo Bo-na, who resumes her double-life after a lengthy leave of absence to care for her newborn. But don't let this squeaky clean image of an electronics sales manager fool anyone: this wife and mother is known at night as the "Kingfisher", a vigilante sniper who takes down criminals who escape the wrath of the justice system.
Mixing Dexter with Mr. & Mrs. Smith, A Bona Fide Killer puts Bo-na's husband, Kwon Tae-sung, in a compromising position as an investigative reporter on the trailer of the Kingfisher, not knowing her secret identity. Tae-sung isn't alone, either, as the series will prominently feature Bloodhounds and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha star Lee Sang-yi as detective Lee Dong-jin, an officer with the Violent Crimes Team of the Nambu Police Station with his own motives and a troubled past in pursuit of justice. Promising a mixture of action and a slice-of-life approach to its storytelling, A Bona Fide Killer will surely be one of the most idiosyncratic new K-dramas of July and 2026 overall.
