Talking to a Stranger

Variety reports Gigi Saul Guerrero (The Purge, V/H/S/85) will star in Talking to a Stranger, a new “supernatural thriller” from Late Phases director, Adrián García Bogliano. The story is said to concern “a grieving mother haunted by a supernatural entity after the tragic loss of her child in a fire.”

Abraham’s Boys

Variety also reports RLJE and Shudder have acquired the rights to Abraham’s Boys, an adaptation of the short story by Joe Hill from director Natasha Kermani. Starring Titus Welliver, Jocelin Donahue, Judah Mackey, Aurora Perrineau and Brady Hepner, the story concerns Max and Rudy Van Helsing, who have “spent their lives under the strict and overprotective rule of their father, Abraham. Unaware of his dark past, they struggle to understand his paranoia and increasingly erratic behavior. But when they begin to uncover their father’s history with Dracula, their world unravels, forcing them to confront the terrifying legacy they were never meant to inherit.”

Talk to Me 2

During a recent interview with IndieWire, Danny Philippou revealed he “can’t decide” where to take a sequel to Talk to Me, which likely won’t see release until 2028.

A part of it is, I can’t decide which is the best avenue to take. So I’d say 2025 Bring Her Back, 2026 the documentary [on death match wrestling], 2027 [the new] horror, and then Talk to Me 2. Maybe, I don’t know.
