Eva Mendes was effortlessly chic as she stepped out for a lowkey lunch in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

The Ghost Rider actress, 50 - who recently revealed the 'extreme' parenting rule she enforces with husband Ryan Gosling - grabbed a bite to eat at celebrity hotspot E. Baldi during the daytime excursion.

Before heading to her next destination, the star was seen giving valet a generous $100 tip.

Mendes was stylish wearing a short-sleeved, black dress that flowed down towards her ankles.

She layered the ensemble with a colorful-patterned jacket and added a leopard-print hat on top of her brunette locks that cascaded down in light waves past her shoulders.

The mother-of-two slipped into a pair of black, heeled boots and carried a small, cream-colored purse to hold a few items she needed.

The actress accessorized her outfit with a pair of hooped earrings as well as a fashionable, brown-rimmed shades.

During an interview with People in May for its Beautiful issue, Mendes opened up about her own personal sense of style and described it as, 'Cuban Golden Girls. I love flowy [dresses], wrapping my hair up and wearing big hoops.'

She added, 'I don't feel the need to show anything anymore. I'm good. I feel like I did that early on, and I look back and go, "Why did I do that? Oh, my God." Maybe it's because I have girls.'

And back in March, Eva celebrated a big milestone as she rung in her 50th birthday - and while talking to The Times UK in October, discussed the topic of aging.

She revealed to the outlet that she still feels 'f***ing sexy at times.'

'The way my man looks at me is just...at times I'm like, "Oh my God,"' she said in reference to Gosling. 'That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he's giving me.'

'There's so many things that can make me feel sexy and I'd say that I feel more sexy than not. I guess because I've never considered myself beautiful, but I've always felt very sexy.'

Eva also got candid about trying a few cosmetic procedures over the years, and expressed, 'I'm not afraid to try things that are safe, because most of these little treatments, let's say, are reversible.'

'If you get Botox, it goes away if you don't like it. There have been times where I've regretted something...and then you just wait it out.'

At 50, Mendes told the publication, 'It's just that number sounds crazy. I feel like a girl inside and I'm like, "Oh my God," I'm not a girl any more.'

Eva and Ryan began dating back in 2011 after meeting on set of The Place Beyond The Pines.

But it wasn't until 2022 that the actress confirmed that both she and the actor had secretly tied the knot. The lovebirds also share two daughters: Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, eight.

While also talking to The Times, the actress discussed a parenting rule that she enforces with Gosling while raising their two children.

She informed the publication that her daughters - who are homeschooled - are not allowed to use smartphones or access social media.

'Putting my kid on the internet and being like, "Oh, search something," that to me is equivalent to telling her, "Oh, just go down the street in the middle of the night. You'll be fine." I know that sounds extreme, but that's what I feel.'

And during an appearance on the Parenting & You podcast in October, Mendes became emotional while talking about the 'hardest part' of parenting.

While becoming tearful, the star admitted that she 'doesn't like' herself when she 'yells' at her daughters.

'I don't yell when they need me. I'm never like "shut up." It's not like a "mean" yell, but it doesn't matter. I yell. And it's this yelling that I find so cultural.'

The Hitch actress added, 'I'm having a hard time getting through and not yelling. The rushing and the yelling, that's the hardest thing to me.'

'I don't like myself. I act like a baby,' she said while recalling moments she has yelled at her kids, but stated she tries her best to avoid doing so.

'I hope I don't look back in 20 years and go "oh shoot," because I really don't want to raise by fear. That's the one - sorry, I get emotional over it - because it's so not fair to the kids.'

The mom-of-two continued, 'I hope that I'm not unknowingly putting some pressure on them through fear like I was raised.'

During her previous interview with People, Mendes also discussed having children later in life. 'When I was 40, it was a big deal for people when I was pregnant, and it wasn't for me.'

She added, 'And then I was 42 and I was pregnant with my second one and people were like, "Oh my God, you're going to be so tired. That's why people have kids in their 20s." I was like, that's the most sorry, asinine thing I've ever heard.'

'It takes more patience. In my 20s, I shouldn't have even been around a child. I was just foul-mouthed and smoking. I could not have raised kids in any other era of my life but now, for sure.'

In regards to taking a break from acting to raise her family, Eva admitted to the publication, 'It was the easiest decision I've ever made.'

And last year, Ryan revealed that he hadn't planned on having a family until he met Mendes.

While talking to People, Mendes discussed having children later in life. 'When I was 40, it was a big deal for people when I was pregnant, and it wasn't for me'; seen in August in Paris

'I wasn't thinking about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn't want to have kids without her,' he expressed to GQ at the time.

He explained that filming scenes as a family with the Ghost Rider actress prompted his outlook to change. 'I didn't really want it to be pretend anymore. I realized that this would be a life I would be really lucky to have.'

Gosling further commented on fatherhood and stated that, 'I would never want to go back, you know?'

'I'm glad I didn't have control over my destiny in that way, because it was so much better than I ever had dreamed for myself.'
