The first A Quiet Place took off like a rocket ship at SXSW 2018, leading to an over-indexing $50.2 million opening weekend on its way to a near $153M domestic and $341M global take. The pic received an Oscar nomination for Sound Editing.
A Quiet Place Part II, which saw its release pushed due to Covid, brought the box office back to life during Memorial Day weekend 2021 with a $57M four-day start, ending with a $160M domestic and $297.3M global haul. Blunt, Jupe and Simmonds returned for that sequel, which nabbed a BAFTA nomination for Best Sound.
