Every Real Housewife Who Has Weighed in on Ozempic
Elon Musk is launching into 2025 a few pounds lighter.
The SpaceX CEO revealed he's been taking Mounjaro, a type 2 diabetes medication similar to Ozempic, for weight loss. "Ozempic Santa," he captioned a snap of himself on X dressed as Father Christmas. "Like Cocaine Bear, but Santa and Ozempic!" Or, as he clarified, "Technically, Mounjaro, but that doesn’t have the same ring to it."
Though the Tesla founder did give Ozempic a try. Except "high doses of Ozempic made me fart & burp like Barney from the Simpson’s," the 53-year-old, who also owns X, shared. "Mounjaro seems to have fewer side effects and be more effective."
Some of his fellow celebs agree. In May, Whoopi Goldberg confessed she lost the weight of "almost two people" thanks to the drug.
"I'm doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help and it's been really good for me," The View host told Kelly Clarkson, who said an unnamed medication has helped with her own weight loss journey. "It's great for people like us who have, you know, issues."
Now, she wants to eliminate the stigma surrounding medication.
"The key is to stop judging everybody," she said. "You have to take responsibility for yourself and see what's going on with your body."
Botched's Dr. Terry Dubrow has also weighed in on Mounjaro, which he has used.
"I thought it was amazing," he told E! News earlier this year. "I didn't have that much weight to lose. But I wanted to try it because so many of my patients were on it and I wanted to see what it was like when you're not diabetic and you only have 10 to 15 pounds to lose."
"It's super effective," the 66-year-old continued. "It's here to stay. Just don't get it from the internet. Get it from your physician under a doctor's supervision. It's curing a lot of diseases, not the least of which is obesity."
