Elf, Couples Retreat Actor Faizon Love Arrested in Florida
Faizon Love is facing a new legal issue.
The Elf actor was arrested in Florida June 16 and charged with two counts of contempt of court, according to records viewed by E! News.
Though he is currently being held without bond, Love’s lawyer Glen Lansky told E! in a June 18 statement, "The underlying case involves a motion for contempt for failure to pay child support."
E! News has reached out to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department for comment but has not yet heard back. Love's rep had no comment when contacted by E!.
Earlier this year, Love filed legal documents claiming that he is unable to pay his ex Tiffany Lee the $250,000 in child support she said he owes her, according to the documents obtained by TMZ.
The 58-year-old also claimed that the highest gross income he has earned over the last five years is $13,000, noting his income for 2025 was $0, per the docs.
He also said in the filing that he missed a hearing in the paternity case in April due to a medical incident, but emphasized that he has always acted in good faith in the case. Ultimately, the judge declared Love in contempt of court and ordered him in May to turn himself in to jail for 90 days.
Love’s arrest is the newest chapter in his ongoing legal dispute with Lee. Last year, he detailed his frustrations with having to pay child support, which he called “ridiculous.”

“If she would have [just] came to me, go listen, let's work together,” he said during a February 2025 interview with The Art of Dialogue podcast. “I was going to move down to where they are in Florida.”
He added, “It hurts the kids, like my daughter's supposed to come see me for Christmas [but didn’t].”
Plus, he said in 2021 that he had “a beautiful daughter who I haven't seen in a year.”
“[Lee] is making it difficult,” Love said during an interview with VladTV, “because I'm missing a lot of precious time with my daughter.”
