Elden Ring has become one of the most beloved open-world fantasy games of all time, and fans of the franchise have been waiting to see what to expect next after the highly anticipated Tarnished Edition eventually releases this year. With Elden Ring Nightreign throwing a curveball at fans and changing up FromSoftware's winning formula, it's anyone's guess as to what shape the next mainline Elden Ring project will take, assuming it takes shape at all.

With the Tarnished Edition for Switch 2 being delayed earlier this year and no official announcement regarding future Nightreign DLC akin to The Forsaken Hollows, fans are left speculating over whether an Elden Ring sequel is even in the cards. That said, there's at least one new Elden Ring release on the horizon that fans will be able to grab on April 30, and it's absolutely massive (via Future Press).

New Elden Ring Release Finally Drops On April 30

After an extensive delay to its release date, the official, highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign Official Strategy Guide from Future Press will finally be available on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Originally, the extensive guide was planned to launch back on February 27, but was then delayed to late April because Future Press wanted to incorporate guide information for the Forsaken Hollows DLC. They offered the following statement on the delay:

"Sorry to keep you waiting for news about the Elden Ring Nightreign guide. We initially planned to cover the launch edition of the game, but soon realized the resulting book would be very quickly outdated. Since our goal was to make something fans could refer to for years to come, we decided to reconsider. Over the past months we’ve been constantly upgrading the book’s contents and adding a lot of additional bonus features.

The result is a truly complete, 584-page book—a third larger than we were originally planning—with the entire Forsaken Hollows DLC covered, along with strategies and attack breakdowns for 120 bosses, complete shop inventories, an Expedition planner, a wealth of unique Nightfarer builds, and every drop of in-game dialog and lore text faithfully reproduced."

While the release date for April 30 has not been updated on the official Future Press website, it is listed to launch on that day according to Amazon, where it's also available for pre-order for around $40 USD.

Elden Ring Nightreign Guide Is Absolutely Huge

Future Press's Elden Ring guides are highly regarded among fans of the IP, and the Nightreign guide is easily one of the most highly anticipated guides they've announced. The delay may be frustrating for many players, considering a companion guide for Nightreign would come in extremely handy, but the final version will end up being absolutely massive at almost 600 pages cover to cover, so I'd argue it was worth the wait.

The Nightreign Official Strategy Guide will cover just about every aspect of the game that you can think of, from a breakdown of every consumable item to which weapons to shoot for to strategies for every enemy type and boss and more. As Nightreign gameplay can be pretty cutthroat and the pressure is on within each run, a companion strategy guide will be a welcome resource for many players, and it looks like fans will finally get their hands on it later this month.
