The October 7, 2023, attack at the Nova music festival resulted in the deaths of 378 individuals at the Re’im site in southern Israel. KKL-JNF has since developed the Nova Memorial Site in Israel’s Negev, which received over 250,000 visitors in the first four months of 2026. In March 2026, KKL-JNF approved a budget of NIS 1.87 billion (approximately $598 million) for its 2026 operations, with significant funds earmarked for enhancing the Nova Memorial Site.
