Eddie Redmayne makes a rare appearance with wife Hannah Bagshawe as they party with the A-list at Saint Laurent bash in Paris

Eddie Redmayne made a rare appearance with his wife Hannah Bagshawe at Saint Laurent's Paris Fashion Week party on Thursday.

The couple matched in black for the star-studded fashion bash, with Hannah, 43, looking gorgeous in a mini dress whilst Eddie, 44, was dapper in a jumper and tie.

Eddie and Hannah, parents to daughter Iris, ten, and son Luke, eight, will celebrate 12 years of marriage this December, having known each other for 26 years.

'It's great that she found me attractive then and still does,' Eddie has said. 'It's also wonderful having a shared history and friends, even though we didn't get together for 15 years.' 

Former public relations expert Hannah first met Eddie in 2000 at a charity fashion show when they were teenagers.

Eddie was attending Eton, and was in the same year as Prince William, whilst Hannah was enrolled in an all-girls boarding school nearby. Her school held a charity fashion show at Eton, and the two reportedly met at a party after the event. 

They didn't start dating until January 2012 after Eddie invited her to a trip to Florence during a shooting break for Les Miserables. 

'I'd finished rehearsals and was about to start shooting in a few days and so I said to myself, "I'm going to go to Florence for a quick break and write or do something like that,"' he recalled to the Daily Mail in 2015. 

'Before I went, Hannah and I were on a sort of date - we'd been good friends for 12 years - and we had a wonderful evening and I suddenly said, "You don't want to come to Florence with me next week, do you?" 

'She said, "That's absurd, you don't mean it." I said, "Yes I do!" So our first proper date was in Florence.'

The couple got engaged in June 2014 and went on to tie the knot in December that year at Babington House.

The actor previously opened up about how Hannah manages to keep him grounded while he's working in the whirlwind of Hollywood.

He told PEOPLE: 'I think saint might be the word. She is an absolute saint.

'And it's a ride for both of us. It's wonderful doing it with someone you love because you also have a second eye on it all.

'This whole industry is the most joyous, absurd circus. It's great to have someone when you get too immersed in it or drinking the Kool-Aid to say, "Wait a second?"'

Eddie had huge success with his most recent project, producing and starring in Sky series The Day of the Jackal for which he earned Screen Actors Guild, Critics Choice and Golden Globe nominations.

Next up for the actor is the spring 2027 release of the thriller film Panic Carefully, written and directed by Sam Esmail and also starring Julia Roberts, Elizabeth Olsen and Joe Alwyn.
