If you're all caught up on the Dungeon Crawler Carl series and are feeling impatient for Matt Dinniman to release Book 9, you're not alone. The series has gone stratospheric in recent months, while what used to be a niche self-published passion project has exploded into a global phenomenon and full-on franchise that's entering all forms of media outside the books themselves.

With the highly anticipated live-action television series for Peacock officially in early development, the possibility of a full animated series recently getting a promising update, the WEBTOON comics, and more on the way, Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler World has come a long way from its humble roots.

However, possibly the most exciting new release for all the Donut Holes and Daddy's Little Foot Soldiers out there is officially available to pre-order now ahead of its November 23 launch.

Dungeon Crawler Carl fans who missed out on the franchise's record-breaking crowdfunding campaign can still get in on the action, with Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable officially available to pre-order for general retail ahead of its November 23, 2026, release. The standalone tabletop game is currently listed on Game Nerdz for $47.97, discounted from its regular $60 retail price.

Developed by Renegade Game Studios and designed by John D. Clair, Unstoppable is a solo or two-player cooperative, roguelite deck-building game that puts players in the shoes of Carl or Princess Donut as they attempt to survive the World Dungeon. The core game covers the dungeon's first three floors, with players battling dangerous mobs and bosses while completing quests and upgrading their abilities.

One of Unstoppable's standout features is its card-crafting system, which allows players to customize their decks using interchangeable card components inserted into sleeves. As players grow stronger, so do the threats they'll encounter, and only certain upgrades purchased with XP carry over between floors. It's a super clever take on the books' progression-based mechanics.

There are also two optional expansions available to pre-order: Crawler Chaos, which introduces additional playable characters including Katia, Imani, Prepotente, and Archie, and the infamous The Iron Tangle, which expands the adventure into the World Dungeon's fourth floor based on The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook (Book 3). Both are currently listed for $19.97 each through Game Nerdz, with a November 23 release date as well.

Of course, some lucky Dungeon Crawler Carl fans are already getting their hands on these releases. The original BackerKit crowdfunding campaign raised an astonishing $13.29 million from 55,972 supporters, many of whom secured their orders months ago. Fulfillment officially began in October, with some backers already getting their hands on packages to start playing ahead of the retail launch. However, Renegade has confirmed that shipments are continuing in waves, meaning plenty of backers are still waiting for their orders.

Fans interested in the other major release that's happening alongside Unstoppable can also pre-order the Dungeon Crawler Carl tabletop RPG Core Rulebook through Game Nerdz for $51.97 (discounted from $65). The 300-plus-page hardcover covers floors 3–5, introducing extensive character customization, skills, spells, loot, monsters, and enough material for dozens of gameplay sessions.

There's also the RPG Starter Set, listed at a discount for $43.97, which covers the first two tutorial floors and includes character sheets, dice, maps, tokens, introductory adventures, and more.

Both RPG releases are also scheduled for November 23, a date Renegade has appropriately dubbed "Carlsgiving." Between the TTRPG and Unstoppable's deck-building experience, fans will finally have two very different ways to experience the World Dungeon of Dungeon Crawler Carl firsthand.
