Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Once a self-published LitRPG title, now a beloved franchise consisting of eight books and an upcoming television show, it is safe to say that Dungeon Crawler Carl is one of life's biggest success stories for its author, Matt Dinniman.

First published back in 2020, Dungeon Crawler Carl follows the story of the titular Carl, who is joined by his ex-girlfriend's cat, Princess Donut, as the two embark on a dungeon crawl as part of an intergalactic reality show program. Set in a world where an alien corporation has seized control of the Earth's resources, Carl and Princess Donut are two of just a few survivors, and so completing this crawl may just inspire hope in those who are left.

Now considered the most popular LitRPG series, and set to come to an end with one more volume set across two books, Dungeon Crawler Carl has taken the world by storm and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

That is because Renegade Game Studios is set to launch a card game inspired by the hit franchise. Titled Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, it will see players craft their very own cards and make their way through the various dungeon levels first detailed in the books. Not only that, but by purchasing the additional expansion sets, you will be able to unlock even more dungeon floors along the way as you take it on as either Carl or Princess Donut.

Set to launch just next month, Unstoppable is set to be a must-play for Dungeon Crawler Carl fans, but if you want to tackle the upcoming card game with a bit more realism, you can also look forward to Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Allies & Enemies.

Also by Renegade Game Studios, Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Allies & Enemies is the second miniatures set available for pre-order, and launches alongside 10 pre-painted figures from the beloved LitRPG series. As the official item description reads:

Enhance your gameplay of the Dungeon Crawler Carl roleplaying games with these 10 prepainted Dungeon Crawler Carl miniatures. This set features many of the most dangerous and friendly characters from the bestselling LitRPG book series ready to use in your RPG campaigns or simply to collect! Inside you’ll find Brynhild's daughters: Hekla & Eva, Bianca & Prepotente and even Lucia Mar in both her day and night forms!

Each pre-painted and highly detailed, individually packaged and compatible with all TTRPGs that use 28-32mm scale and one-inch = 5' grids, Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Allies & Enemies will be the perfect addition to your gaming experience when it also launches in November 2026 and comes in at $65.00.

Over at Renegade Game Studios, the Dungeon Crawler Carl line continues to grow, and it seems as though November 2026 will be a big month for those wanting to immerse themselves in the upcoming crafting-card game and TTRPG based on the award-winning franchise.
